Pat Monahan of Train does a weekly podcast where he talks to different celebrities. This week he has Jonathan Cain. I haven't listened to it yet, so can't tell you what's good/bad about it.

I guess you'll have to ignore the part in the description where they mention that Jon is an original member of Journey. I guess only Journey is to blame for confusing people with so many member changes.

That would be a good joke huh? Journey has had more Member changes than a lesbian orgy. You know, strap ons? Get it?

@ 36:25 ...we had Steve Perry on drums, he played decent. He was a soul drummer, R & B drummer,
great drummer.
So Steve Perry would go on the drums, cause he never got to play anymore right, so he wanted
to play drums.
Ricky (Phillips) would play bass.
Neal would play guitar.
And John (Waite) would be the frontman.
And would sing , of course , Wilson Pickett songs, Midnight Hour and all that stuff.
And ya know I would play like keyboards and stuff, Neal and I would
be jammin..then he'd, then we'd go like fuse off..ya know do some crazy stuff..
then he'd look at me, like...you got me don't ya.........

It was pretty cool. Pat clearly didn't know the history of the band, but I guess that's fine. Jon had a lot of cool little stories to tell. Lot's of love for all the singers, but slighted JSS a little, which irked me. But other than that, it was a pretty fun listen.

One of the cool takeaways is that someone just licensed Stone in Love for a movie. I don't think he said who/what.

I saw a preview for an upcoming movie this weekend, can't recall which, and DSB was featured in it - again. Maybe it was Rocky 7. Um, I mean Grudge Match. I don't know.

By the way, the Patcast with The Script is great. Talk about a really nice success story for what seem like some really great guys... And they strive to write great songs and they really work hard at it. It's interesting to hear a "young" band talk. I think it's one of these really rare bands where everyone is on the same page. And humble and appreciative all the while.

If that became the formal Bad English, I have every confidence that at least one or two members would not have made it out alive.
