New Journey guitar arrangement

Postby Navarro » Tue Jun 24, 2014 2:02 am

Hello,
I posted this video to YouTube this morning. Knowing this is the place for Journey fanatics, I thought some of you might like this arrangement of Don't Stop Believin'. Kind of Journey Muzak. If you like it, I have a couple other old videos of Journey arrangements on my channel as well. All in original key, no capo. This DSB is kind of a finger twister. Check it out and enjoy!

good job, Navarro! Any person that can play music is talented in my book :D . I'm a vocals kind of gal, though. A song without lyrics just doesn't it for me.

I think it's great!

You play very well, and your arrangement proves what a well written melodic song it is.

Thanks for sharing!

Nice playing man. Takes a lot of skill to arrange and play that. I always admire good finger style players. I've just never honed that skill at all.

There is no instrument as powerful, expressive, and moving as the sound of the human voice. Thanks for listening!

Majestic and Ehwmatt,
Thanks for listening! Playing these arrangements of Journey classics has given me a much greater appreciation of the music. Even though, DSB is way over played, it is still a great, great song and stands up well as a instrumental piece of music, IMO. You should try some easy fingerstyle arrangements. Hal leonard has some good books of pop/rock songs that are too hard to play. It is a blast being able to play melody/accompaniment all at once.
