Journey's biography

In a world where a true and honest biography of the band is even possible, who would be your choice to write it? All of the band members would have their own axe to grind, so not one of them.

Just asking because of reading the one by Neil Daniels, which was awful.

My vote would be Kevin Elson. He spent years with all the different members, doesn't seem to have a bias toward any particular one, and must have a few good stories to tell.

My vote is Herbie. Even if it is biased, it would be entertaining. As for Elson, if I am not mistaken, he canceled an interview with Andrew in 2005.

Entertaining?...definitely. Honest and truthful?.... Doubtful.

Lora and Cyndy, definitely. A biography by Herbie would surely be an interesting read but far too biased from his point of view. If Lora and Cyndy wrote the biography, it would be the most fair version and it would still be so enlightening.

Thanks for the vote of confidence everyone but that would be a tough assignment. We were too busy living it to write it down or keep notes on what happened and when. Plus I'm old now and don't remember what I did last week.

We do have some good stories we could share someday. One of my favorites (though it wasn't funny when it happened) was when we were backstage in the band's dressing room in Dallas on the ROR tour. We were interviewing Neal and Jon for the Journey Force newsletter. The opening act was on and it was so loud we couldn't hear, so we shut the door, which locked it. The band had a secret knock for when they wanted to get in, and Steve was out there in the hall doing that knock, but no one heard it. Someone finally opened the door and there he stood. He was pissed. We thought we were all dead. Good times for sure.

Definitely the band's personal chauffeur ... I learned more about Journey than I ever wanted to know during the 10 hours or so we spent together
