Narada on Journey

At the 16 minute mark, Narada briefly talks about Journey. He has yet to meet new BG vocalist/keyboardist, Jason. Narada also confirms that they have a new manager. This seemed evident from Neal's social media, but this is the first time I have heard it actually confirmed. Pretty ballsy to drop Azoff.

Dumping Azoff is a great move!!! The one and only thing that Azoff cared about was money.

Wasn't Perry the only reason Azoff became their manager in the 90s anyway? They should have sent Azoff packing when Perry left the last time and started with a clean slate.

Yes, if I recall correctly the only reason that Azoff was hired was because Perry wanted him to manage the band.

If Azoff had paid the same attention to Journey as he did with the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac then Journey would be playing these arenas without a co-headliner. He was a good choice. I can only assume when Perry bailed Azoff more or less washed his hands of the band.

From a financial point of view, Azoff may have been a good choice as Journey's manager?

But he was contributing to the downfall of Journey from a creative point of view.

I definitely feel that he was contributing to the no new albums problem after Eclipse and the issue of them only playing hits in concert.

I also (And there's no need to rehash the arguments right now) feel that Azoff was behind some of the stupid publicity stunts.
