I think I remember. They did one show in Vegas for Friends and Family and they played those five songs from Eclipse. And somebody recorded those new songs on his phone, and posted them to Youtube. The quality wasn't the best. You'd think Journey would want to record them and put high quality video on Youtube to get people excited.
So, it wasn't a tour. It was one show. People might be confusing things with when Arnel first started, they did a tour of South America to "work out the kinks." But that was years before Eclipse.

The Vegas show was open to anyone who bought tickets, just like the recent one. They toured South America in March and April of 2011. That was definitely not years before Eclipse. Literally 8 seconds on google will tell you the cities and venues they played.
