Neal's Repetitive Solos

Been listening to Freedom. I never imagined I would say this , but Neal's solos seem to just repeat the same pattern and almost always end with a flurry of fast notes. The days of Blackmore style melodic song within a song solos are long gone ( such as Lights, Wheel in the sky , Separate Ways, etc., .

You can see this Yngwie like approach on all his FB posts where all he does is these non memorable shred solos .

Im still a fan though . I think this has been mentioned on here before also.

He needs a producer that will step in and say something about it .

100% on board with you on this, felt this way for a number of years too (and feel this way a bit with Lukather too, another favorite of mine). His solos feel so processed and so soaked in delay along with those lightning-fast runs just kills it for me. :(
