I agree. But if he did one album of a new project I'd be happy.

I have no idea what this cryptic message means.
Monker wrote:I agree. "It's going to get interesting!" sounds a bit ominous...meaning he is saying he is going to stir the soap opera pot until the courts force him to stop. I have to wonder if it is a site to sell/download his music as well as a blog type thing to rant about whatever his topic of the day is. It's very difficult to take anything Neal does seriously now. If he had said something like this back in the Augeri days, it would have been a big deal...now it is just kinda "meh" and feels all negative.

I used to look forward to those cryptic hints from Neal, hoping it meant new music of some sort. Now I cringe wondering who he's going to attack or pick a fight with next.

JourneyHard wrote:This shows how much Journey misses Herbie Herbert. When Herbie was manager of Journey, he was a strong manager who kept the ship going forward as a cohesive unit. Now, the band is being pulled in all sorts of different directions. Neal refuses to have a strong manager now, and that is hurting Journey. A strong manager would have planned something big for Journey's 50th Anniversary, but it has come and gone with absolutely no fanfare.

I think at this point, a lot of us wish Smitty and Ross's "coup" was actually successful. The band would probably be in a much better position all around.
I give Neal credit for giving us a new album and the Toto tour. Well played. Everything else has been complete absolute shit.
ebake02 wrote:I never truly believed that it was entirely a coup, it was more everyone else trying to save the brand from Neal and Jon running it into the ground with their bickering and bad decisions.
Monker wrote:He would be better off if he just shut up and played guitar...and hire real management to deal with this crap.
JohnH wrote:Mitch Lafon just posted a pic of Neal that says solo dates 2023, so this must be the new platform.
