I can't view Twitter posts. Does the post say anything of particular interest?

Not sure what this is about. Deen joining Neal for solo dates? JTT going out as originally planned? Deen and NS just prepping for Freedom Tour Part 3?

Oh, actually it is almost November and they tour early in the year so you're right it could just be prepping for the tour.

It'd be nice if they were practicing a new or at least varied up setlist from what they've been playing forever. I'm still listening to the JTT album and it really makes me wish they'd deliver some deeper cuts and I'm not talking just randomly throwing "La Do Da" in the mix every once in a while, like at least open up like 4-5 song slots. There have been MANY opportunities for the casual listener to see the band doing the dirty dozen for years, so why not give at least one tour to the hardcore fans? Just ditch a few of the lesser hits for a while.

It ain't happening, but a guy can dream.

They did a pretty good job last year, but it wasn't as impactful as it could have been with more former members and also was only for the first 2/3 of shows... then it stagnated. Here are some different songs they played:
1. Chain Reaction
2. Keep on Runnin'
3. Faith in the Heartland
4. Edge of the Blade
5. Patiently
6. Line of Fire
7. La Do Da
8. Stay Awhile
9. Still they Ride
10. Dead or Alive
11. Where Were You
12. Walks like a Lady
13. Just the Same Way
14. Anytime
15. Feelin that Way

And of course, MotherFather, Escape, Let it Rain were semi-regular.

OK, there actually were a few more cuts than I remembered, thats a pretty solid list! But many of those still feel like part of the dirty dozen setlist we've heard many times through the years. I don't know, maybe I'm thinking more along the lines of a couple pre-Perry songs, and perhaps a couple Perry-era songs that have rarely ever been played live. It feels like just one or two tracks from TBF or even Arrival could work but now I'm just completely losing touch with reality.

Still They Ride?! My all time favourite journey song. I haven't heard that song live since the 80s with Perry or seen any youtubes. Well except when I was down in Cali a few years back and saw Journey tribute band DSB do it (Juan Del Castillo slayed it!).

Question: who sings STR? Is it Deen? I'd be curious to hear that.

Both Deen and Arnel have done an awesome job on STR. Deen sang it as far back as the Augeri days. Check out Arnel on STF and Mother Father on the live from Japan cd/dvd.

Thanks! Nothing against Arnel, he did a good job. But dang……..loved Deen’s version. Prefer his vocal texture and delivery more. I’ve probably never seen that cuz Keep on Running is the first half. Lol never been much of a fan of that one. Very impressed, man that boy can sing. All while drumming too. That’s saying a lot as I’m super picky on that song. His Jessieeeeeee Riiiiiiiides from the start is very reminiscent of Perry.

The March video of Still They Ride is mine. Arnel's voice was a bit rough that day but he still did a great job.
That being my 24th Journey concert, I had yet to hear Still They Ride live, so I was super pumped when I heard the first few notes.
