They should have never put Open Arms on Escape. People who love Open Arms hate every other Journey song. So, maybe Open Arms is NOT a good song for Journey. But I understand what they were doing. Management saw Styx get a number one song with Babe. So, they wanted a number one song. And Jon and Perry were more than happy to make Open Arms. However, the ironic twist is that Open Arms got stuck at number two. It never made it to number one. So, at the end of the day, Open Arms shouldn't have been on Escape. It didn't get the number one they wanted.
Also, Open Arms was on Heavy Metal soundtrack. Is that crazy? Open Arms is NOT a heavy metal song. It pigeon-holed Journey as some fluff band.
To conclude, take Open Arms off the Greatest Hits album, too. And add Stone In Love!
