I'm sure some of you must have seen this before but it's completely new to me. Feels very strange seeing new footage

I know it’s only 2 minutes but there is no interaction with Neal. He seems to be doing his own thing….

I'm still in shock we just saw ROR semi-pro-shot footage from friggin' Anchorage '87!!! That is kinda huge for Journey history as well as the rarity of ROR footage in general!

The date is wrong . Anchorage was Feb 1, 1987. Amazing this exists!

Or, Neal is and the others are avoiding him.

There's no real interaction during the first few minutes of the Houston Escape show either. No reason to speculate.

Thanks for sharing!

Every clip ever seen or heard of this tour, the songs are always played at warp speed tempo. Have they ever addressed that? Deliberate? I'm burned out just watching/listening so it's no wonder Perry ran out of fuel.

Everything was played at a faster speed on the Frontiers tour too. They seemed to always play Wheel In The Sky at hyper speed.

That show was the last full set Journey concert with Perry.

Is it just me or is that the worst thing I have ever heard in my life? If this is how Journey will sound with Perry, I support Perry 100% to avoid touring with Journey ever again.

It's no coincidence the songs were sped up , and it's not due to being on Coke. It's simple . If the notes being sang are shorter , or even some not even sung due to the BPM being higher, then it's less wear and tear on the voice .

I don't know why didn't they just tune down a half step?

According to AI, here is the following:
Steve Perry has one confirmed concert scheduled in 2025, on September 20, at the Historic BAL Theatre in San Leandro, California.

Is this real or is AI messing with me?

I always figured it was to fit more songs into the setlist since they'd amassed quite a few hits by '83-'87.

That is what I had thought might be the case.
