Corey Clark's "Journey" performance?

Have any of you seen the stuff that's being said about Corey Clark and Paula Abdul? Well in one segmant I saw about it on some show (Lord knows it's been everywhere, as if we didn't have a war and other politically related issues that should be investigated by our media) it was said that Paula advised Corey to choose "Foolish Heart" to sing for one performance because it's Randy's favorite "Journey" song.

I sort of resent it because it's one of my favorite Perry solo songs, but then Steve Perry and Journey are synonymous to most people. Why do you suppose that is? As if I have to ask.

Ever do a search on Kazaa or any other network for Journey songs, and always see "Oh, Sherry" and "Foolish Heart" identified as Journey? "I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight" is another song people seem to think is Journey. Weird.

I thought that was strange, too, when Paula told Corey to sing Foolish Heart because "Randy would like it". After he sang it, Randy said he used to work with Steve Perry (I noticed he didn't say " Journey"). I think that was his way of identifying that song as a Perry solo effort, not Journey.

Didn't Clay Aiken sing a Journey tune on AI? Which one?

Here come the war related comments once again. And Miss High and Mighty recommending that our worthless Liberal media should investigate such. Good Grief, woman, why not go to a political board and let off your steam?

About your obvious Perry question ...It goes to show how unthinking, and maybe blinded by her middle aged hormones Paula was, to even THINK Clark could pull off that song.

For the record, I think Paula is guilty and thought she wouldn't get caught. She's just an 80's has-been who took her "fame" to her head. If you watched American Idol a few choice times, you might have noticed her also being mesmerized with that Mario guy, who for some mysterious reason, quit the show early into it. She has consistently shown partiality to certain male competitors.

Also did you note her over the top fawning over Constantine Maroulis? You might have noticed that when he was voted off, Paula was CRYING, and was consoling the boy's mother!! Highly unusual! Also unbelievable was the fact that she gave Corey Clark some of HER prescription narcotic cough syrup! As I understand it, it is ILLEGAL to give anybody any prescription that was not intended for them.

The most important thing here, that may get buried by the liberal press that is already on her side, (since she is affililiated with some of them) is the fact that she helped a contestant, and if Corey Clark hadn't been caught for lying about his criminal charge, and consequently NOT dismissed from the competition, the question begging to be asked is "How far up the ladder would Corey Clark have gone with Paula's private coaching??? This one fact, plus the doling out of her prescription medication, are the two things that jump out at me.

I say her goose is cooked; if she gets off, it will be because the public is blindsided, and because nobody has the balls to hold her accountable for her actions.

I'd noticed on several of those music sharing sites that Steve's songs were often listed as Journey, as well as several different songs that were by other artists. I remember one of them listed a couple of Survivor songs.

Clay did sing Open Arms on the program, but it was Corey who sang it on the first CD that that group of contestants did. Clay did a MUCH better job on the song.
