How does this affect your theory that all the best seats go to non-Journey fans? I am sure will balk at the price...but compare those prices with U2 tickets up front and what do you get?

I'd rather see Styx two or three times then have to pay that amount to see Journey (or anybody else) ONCE. And, they just jacked up the price of the first 20 rows to $125/ticket because the only way you can buy those tickets is with this package. You can't even take the chance with Ticketmaster. $250 to have two decent seats to see Journey? I don't think so.

Besides at fairs and other such intimate venues, you can easily sneak up to the front.
I've done it before and after this asinine piece of news, it looks like I'll be doing it again.

Unless I have it alll wrong and I CAN still get tickets close to the stage through conventional ticket-buying methods such as Ticketmaster. We'll see.

I talked to a freind of mine that works at a casino, who deals with tickets for shows. He said he "heard", so this is not confirmed, that the vip package is presale. You cn but yours before tickets go on sale. Then when they go on sale any one can buy a ticket in the firts 20 at regular price. Remind you thet was "heard". I love the music of Journey, but that is two high. Just glad its not with Perry in the group, or the tickets would been twice as high-ERIC

Nice try Dave. However, I stated some of the best seats at Casinos go to non-Journey fans. You could get two first ten rows seats on eBay for $200 to $250 or less. Not anymore.

The best U2 tickets are on the floor or Ellipse and sell for between $49 and $54.00. I'll be on the floor in Boston.

Once again, Journey has failed their fans with the VIP seating. Journey believes they are "helping" their fans get the best seats by charging $250 per ticket...not for a pair...to see them in the first ten rows. What a joke and what a ripoff!!!!

Paul McCartney is charging $250 per seat at his shows too.

Other fan club sites offer a presale only through their website and charged face value for seats in Rows 6 through 10 on the floor. The VIP price was high for the first five rows, but came with the meet and greet and other benefits.

Still try Ticketmaster or other sites for the choice seats because I doubt the VIP packages will sell out.

The prices are going to be based on the Venue and local costs. Wolftrap prices are $125 for Star 5; $75 for Star 4. The Monker has spoken.

It costs $30 just for a tshirt at concerts. So if you wanted to guarentee 1st 20 rows and buy a tshirt, the 4 star package IS a good deal.

This is probably accurate. The packages are presale. Once the presale ends, the remaining tickets will be offered up.

Except if the U2 shows in Boston are anything like the U2 shows in the LA area--they sold out immediately so people were left with inflated ebay or thousand dollar broker tix. BTW, I notice the best ticket price for actual seats at the U2 Boston shows is $165. GA is great for a smallish venue, but sucks for large venues. You have to spend a lot of time waiting in line if you want to be able to see anything except the video screens. If I'm watching a vid screen I may as well be in a balcony seat. Have fun at the U2 show, but once again--stop comparing U2 to Journey. They obviously have different status in the market.

I have the GA tickets from the Fan Club, and I will have a very good chance being in the ellipse.

Sure, I'd pay $150 per ticket for the top five rows and all the extras to see Journey with Steve Perry for a 3.5 hour show. If Journey is your favorite band, then go for it with the $150 per ticket. Heck, I paid $350 per ticket to see the Stones twice.

Personally, I thought these prices would be much more expensive. I'm seriously considering the 5 star option. Man, to be able to watch the show from RIGHT THERE... a longer show... (I've never seen them in concert before).... with possibly some guests... it would be GREAT. I'm looking at it as a great opportunity for some awesome seats... and I would love to take my wife to this show.
