Live Concert - Radio Broadcast / Bootleg Index

Postby brandonx76 » Mon Nov 14, 2005 10:52 am

Anyone out there have an index of Journey concerts that are around? I just came across a show from Chicago, 1979, that sounds amazing....And so I'd thought I've heard it all, apparently there is always something new, and I would be interested if anyone has reference to, at most, a near complete index of pro/soundboard recordings

No disrespect to getting the $$ to those who should have it (i.e the band and songwriter), I will gladly pay to hear these concerts officially produced (as with the upcoming Houston DVD)....but alas, I'm a fan...the band (collectively) could've pissed on something, and I would need to have heard it....

I hear you, Brandon. Those wack jobs over at BT were talking about boots the other day. Some fruit insisted that anyone with boots should destroy them at once, and call the authorities(fuckin weirdos).

Anyway, I have boots and am not afraid to say it. I am a fan, and buy everything anyways, so I can care less if Irving pops a nut over this or not. PM me, and I will hook you up with whatever you want(that I have).

froy, are you going to the Waukegan show? I will be there with Sadie and SMB..Bring me a copy, and I will buy beers all night. Trust me dude, we are partying until daybreak..

Better yet, I am going to smuggle a recording device in(via SMB's purse), and record that one too.

It does sound like a great show, but if you went to a show this year, you would have heard Patiently, Daydream, FTW/Anytime etc...and they sounded great.

It is a 3 hour show.

Please. Give us a break. I cannot get enough boots. And if we're trading or giving NO ONE can come down on us. With the paucity of live recordings the band has done, i can't live without my boots.
It's a great way to aquire songs live that have never been officially commited to tape. I've seen the BTers RAIL against boots. They don't get that if you give or trade and not BUY/SELL it's cool.

It's not cool on BT because the band has made it known that they do not want bootlegging. It is not allowed on BT and the people who "rail" are the lemming followers that will support anything and everything the band does. But they will allow free/trade copies of BTM and F&B. I don't understand that.

The band has made it know that it frowns upon so-called "bootleg" trading? Hm. If so I'd be surprised.

I have a hard time even considering it a "bootleg" per se unless 1 party is profiting from it. No one I've ever traded with or given to has profited in concert trades with me.

Your "lemming" point is well-taken. Journey stepfords.

It is getting almost laughable over there..No, it is laughable. They have a promotions forum...Go read that. This guy Ken is throwing down all these rules and trying to keep people from going off topic. "go vote on MR!" I voted! Me too! Voted again! Bump! woohoo!

Neal has to be embarrassed by that Board...OMG

Dave, I know you post over there, but how do you do it with a straight face? I am at the point of vomitting when I see dudes "tearing up" during a live WYLAW performance. WTF?

Or when a poster starts a topic. STARTS A TOPIC about hearing Faithfully in the store. Worse is when teh topic headers have something like "GREAT NEWS" and you click on it only to find out LuLu started the topic cuz she heard WCN in Publix. Then it takes forever to get back outa the wasted topic if the site is crowded.

actually, the only reason i go is for the reviews by NON BT members..and there are some links they always have from shows and articles. Other than that, I find myself just in awe of the "blind following." Seriously, when the band goes away, these people will have nothing in their lives.

I go now and then to look at the roadwork/reviews section but when there always skin the gen forum. Dave's there and Jester, and a few other good posters. But the fluff overruns the place sometimes.

Why can't you people just get a copy from the soundboard??????? They record every show.

I totally agree with you!! Especially if everyone is just trading, should be no problem. Boots are GREAT!!!
