Tape Gate part 2 - Roger Waters

Postby AR » Tue Aug 01, 2006 10:36 am

Looks like Journey may have some company. I've been reading some Pink Floyd forums concerning the new Roger Waters tour and some fans are getting suspicious.

http://www.pinkfloydz.com/roger2006/index14june.htm

After seeing Roger in Oslo last night, I'm starting to think that there might be a lot more lip-synching than we want to believe... The man can't even talk without the voice cracking up on every second word, but when singing it sounds fine all the time.

It was still a nice show, but I hand it to whoever it was saying it was more like a very good Pink Floyd cover band.

------------------------------------------------------------------
He obviously lip synched in Oslo last night as well on some songs. I couldn't stand see him lip synching 'Fletcher' , so I went to get more beer after 'Southampton Dock'. 'Fletcher Memorial Home' was like listening to 'Echoes' or 'TFC' version over the speakers. The entire 'Sheep' was lip synched as well. I was pretty far back when he did 'Have A Cigar' , so I couldn't see if he lip synched it or not, it sounded genuine though. Another bad thing was that it was totally bright outside, sumn hadn't even gone down when the show started. There were no round Mr- Screen, or the "fire rings".

Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

NIG, I am sorry, but there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with exposing a fraud. I did it, successfully, yet I wish I had chosen a better delivery. At least I put up evidence. This guy in the Waters' case is pure speculation.

cool. I didn't say I didn't believe the guy, but in my case, at least I put the evidence out there. It was so easy, if people didn't believe, they were simply deaf or blinded by Journey Jam.

Or in my case, drunk and not paying attention, LOL.

The Waters DVD is absolutely stunning in quality. I haven't looked at enough of it to form an opinion, but it sure looks great.

Check it out.

Oh no... here we go again.
Search the threads my friend....

As for Waters.... he must be really shit if he needs to lipsynch his own singing voice. It's not as if he does more than speak the lyrics anyway! He's hardly a Perry/Gramm/Delp etc..... :?

I know he wasn't lipping on stage last year w/ Floydd @ Live 8.... and watching and listening to the damn thing I wish the hell he was.

he sounded like a 94 year old guy trying to croak er sing along to Pink Floyyd.

Yeah, but didn't Gilmour sing most of the Floyd stuff anyway? I mean, I'm a fan, I have 7 or 8 Floyd albums, but not to the level of knowing who did what on every song, but it sounds like Gilmour most of the time.

Never followed them live, but that surprises me.
Of course, the way they parted is bound to create bad blood and he said/she said crap. This could just be a way for someone to try and discredit Tarja in favor of the rest of the band...

I'm going to take it upon myself to personally bring down Roger Waters.
The man is lipping and it can't go unpunished.

I will start a blog and use every second of my life to expose that fraud.
He's a #*%^* $&*@-^ and a ^*&#%.

I'm going to take this to every media source that I can to expose that *$^#%.

I'm also going to verbaly abuse anyone who dares to tell me that I'm wrong, so you had all better watchout because if you don't agree with me you've had it.

I'm not interested in finding murderers, rapists, and people who abuse children, no, I have something much more important to deticate my life to, and that is to expose Roger Waters for POSSIBLY lip-syncing.

I'm also going to find out if he has an online fan club, and if he does I will never ever stop bitching and moaning about those people who are members of it.
I will hate those people so much, and yet I will never stop talking about them.

You will all see!!!

It's a candidate.

The last line for some reason reminds me of Linus in the pumpkin patch at the end of The Great Pumpkin, Chuck Brown

Well, Waters' shows are probably pretty big events so i'm sure there will be enough bootlegs around for someone to do some careful listening.

I will admit he did sound pretty bad at Live 8, so if he suddenly sounds brilliant the whole show, it's possible there's some funny stuff going on. (not making an accusation, just saying it wouldn't surprise me)

It seems in the world of rock a lot of the bands that maybe lipping are getting old and cant do it anymore, therefore they should step down and make way for new blood.WASP by all accounts have most of the show on tape.I find little to be happy about finding out a singer in a band i see live is miming.I have no desire to see them if this is the case,i hope a lot more bands are exposed..lipping sucks big time.If to many get away with it shows will all be mime soon then rock is no better than Britney Spears cabaret shows
