So howzabout those of us who can sing...or think they can sing, uploading our efforts to sing over a track or two...or even just a verse and chorus of yr fave track??
Easy to do if you have a copy of Cubase, or any similar audio sequencer, and a mic.
Be good to try them in the original keys... but its possible to lower the keys in Acid or Sound Forge or similar, whilst retaining the same tempo.
Its only for fun... you can even do a "comedy" version.... maybe unintentionally... haha
Ok I do a McCartney... but it aint gonna help much here and in these keys... I will try make the time to set up my gear today or tomorrow.... and upload onto Yousendit ... anyone feel free to start the ball rolling in the meantime....oh and of course...ladies..... you too!
ps.... and of course your not allowed to upload anything Jeremy !!!!!!

My previous partner died of cancer. I was given some Journey CDs by her cousin when she was in hospital and listening to them really helped me through what was absolutely the worst time of my life.
That's how I discovered Journey.

Good for you. Maybe Dean discovered Journey when his wife died. What difference does it make?
You want a Kareoke thread...then I want to hear Dean's recordings...unless, of course, he lied about those too, like so many other things.
Liquid_Drummer wrote:I would like to do You better wait however the low parts have some effect on them (in the neon lights, think about it section) and I have no clue what that is. Without that effect I think that part would sound ... Wimpy ? I may see if I can reproduce it somehow.

It's the "Chorus" effect, with gutsy "belting" vocals.

Why? Did he lie about going to a studio, or not?
If I want to bring it up, I can...nothing is stopping me.
Liquid_Drummer wrote:Ok then my second entry then.. Feeling that way. I spent more time on it, multitracked the Rollie/Perry vocals because there is a harmony in there I wanted to sing, and I may have the advantage of having good recording gear and a project recording studio so....

Hey FF, thanks for posting those karaoke files! Also, liquiddrummer, awesome job, man!!
I'm not going to upload anything as part of a competition or anything, but there's a few tunes Frontiers would never tackle that I've always wanted to perform/record, so I'd love to upload a version of YBW or Missing You....Right now all the microphones I own are locked in a trailer 30 miles away, so I'll screw around with something when I get a chance. In the meantime, if anyone wants to hear "I Stand Alone" and has never heard it, here's a link here:
