How many dates did Perry do on the Strange Medicine tour?

Just got my remastered copy of Love of Strange Medicine,great sound,but looking throught the booklet i noticed he has a hell of a lot of tour dates listed.By all accounts i belive he bailed out of some of this tour,so how many dates did he actually do? and what was the reason for this?

Just curious how many dates he did thats all i did not realise it was to be such a big tour,here in the UK we did not get much info on this tour,i have a few shows on cd,dvd he did,pretty good,but dont know to much about his solo tour.

I saw 10 of them starting in Milwaukee which I recorded
He really struggled during Stone in Love and in fact never sang it again after that show.
Also Open Arms was played once and poof gone
The Chicago show started out nice I recorded that also and the PA system went down and all you could hear is the drums pounding , Steve stopped everything and said Turn this Mother Fucker up and blow the son of a bitch up and give me some drums baby.

A few months into the tour around December we flew to LA and saw the Pantages shows
There was a guy in front of the venue offering pit seats row AA for 95 bucks and no buyers
We forked over the cash sold our 8 th row floor and we were off to the front row
Perry was on fire that night his voice had opened up and was very clear the show was stellar.
He did 3 nights at the Pantages and there was a night off in between so we could only see 2
He then adds Stay Awhile and we missed it.
I also remember that he mixed up the songs Somewhere theres Hope and Listen To Your Heart
He sang Somewhere theres hope and everyone looked at him he looked at us and I said Steve no its Listen to Your Heart he said oh now I now where we are at.
Thats what seeing so many shows does for ya you know the songs better than the guy on stage

I believe he went into March and then was pretty much wooed away from the tour and the old broncitis excuse was given keeping him from being sued
The tour was over and TBF was in the works.

I would say the Strange Journey band was horrible except for Todd Jensen a great guy and a great bass player
Lucas JR the drummer was not great live .
The Keyboard player I forget his name could not sing if his life depended on it
He ruined allot of songs but it was still fun to see so many shows

Here on Orlando at the Bob Carr theater, not too big a place, kinda sad. Thing is we had crappy seats & Paul Taylor was literally practically behind a curtain the whole time, I didn't even see him or know he was there until the END when he came out .

Todd Jensen was great, funny how he was in Hardline with Neal...

Hmm, just found my ticket stub from the show I just mentioned, found it in my SP "Greatest Hits + Five Unreleased" cd (hubby hates that I stick ticket stubs in the cd cases, lol)

Date is 11-25-94, so I'm not sure if this was during the FTLOSM tour or not? Sorry, don't remember, too long ago, I don't even remember when FTLOSM came out, & I can't find it right now...

Froy thanks for posting about some of the shows you
attended.

I was lucky enough to get to see him as well and was
blown away to be there after not ever getting the chance
to see Journey.
We saw him in Nov that tour at the Fox Theatre in Detroit.
Hubby and I had more fun there than any other concert
whoring night.
We had sucky seats but aside from that, no complaints
from us.

Don't think I ever thanked him for that night.

He cancelled the show i was going to in florida the day of the show -i drove down to the venue and no one was in the parking lot-started to wonder what was going on a freind of mine was going to go with me and never showed up , he had heard that the show was cancelled earlier that morning, and figured that i knew-and of course they cancelled the show due to a throat infection
