Good question Granny!!

I think television gets a bad rap --- yeah there is abuse by parents using it as a baby sitter - and there are some shows that are just so stupd - but still there are some good ones

1.Everybody Love Raymond (R.I.P. Peter Boyle)

2.Soup! (Joel McHale understands)

3. Columbo - cannot help myself - these are old from the 70's, however, they were so well-crafted - and Peter Falk is amazing. For those not familiar, the hour-long show would start with you completely viewing the murder - the reasons for it, everystep leading up to it, committed. The you would sit mesmerized while watching Columber (Peter Falk) solve the mystery.

4. Murphy Brown - hysterical and political - Candace Bergen was funny

5. Boston Legal - guess it must be the Candace Bergen connection - however, I have had a big cruch on James Spader since "Pretty in Pink" and StarGate - and William Shatner is great.

Thanks Granny

1. Dr. Who
2. Get Smart (just got the entire series on DVD)
3. Jimmy Neutron
4. Deadwood
5. Lost

Actually, I've started losing interest in Lost because for every two minutes of show, there seems to be 4 to 5 minutes of commercials AND everything seems to take SOOOOOOOOO long to happen!

Wish I had time to watch TV, but I don't, so I'll list the ones I watch on those rare occasions when I can. :?

1. Lost
2. House
3. CSI
4. Law & Order SVU
5. Without A Trace

Of course, when American Idol and Dancing With The Stars come on again I'll catch enough of them to know what's going on because they're not something you have to give all of your attention to. You can just glance or listen as you get time.

When "I" actually get to watch it (usually it is either a kid's show or husband's show)...it is usually the HGTV channel or the Food Network or such. But, "Friends", I still love and usually have that on every night at 6:30. We are terrible t.v. aholics 'tho...even if we aren't watching we have to have it on! I grew up on t.v. & it was like a friend to me - and probably a parent since I learned values from watching The Brady Bunch, The Andy Griffith show, "Father knows Best", etc. Believe me, I didn't learn anything of that sort from my parents...can you imagine a show where the father was a bigamist?

(p.s. I saw something strange today...a motorized wheelchair at a corner light of an intersection & no occupant? Did the motor die & the person crawled away - those things are expensive...very strange.)

Choosing a fave TV show is like choosing a fave Journey song... It depends on my mood. Here are 5, in no particular order:

M*A*S*H
CSI (original)
NYPD Blue
Golden Girls
Cops

Mostly older shows, but I haven't really been able to get in to many new ones - just started watching CSI about 4 mos. ago! LOL!

I always thought grannies were supposed to watch a lot of TV. I just can't imagine u all wrapped up in a quilt w/fuzzy pink slippers on in front of the box :-)

I LOVE The Shield. I wish they had more eps like they did in the beginning. I'm gonna try this new show in Jan in that slot "Dirt". Might be good. I liked the one they had last yr "Thief" w/Andre Brougher (sp?) so I'll take whatever goes in that slot.

Saw the coming attractions for DIRT and it looks interesting...no fuzzy slippers or quilt, but hubby falls asleep about 1/2 hr. after hitting his lounge chair so I have nothing to do in the eveinings except watch TV usually while making cards...I usually send a bunch to friends to use for whatever occasion they want...saves them money from not having to buy cards... Everyone they send them to just loves them and keeps them...

My son would shoot me. YES. 24 fan. He's actually getting onset this next month. My best bud is a location manager for films/tv, and she's worked it so that he can get on the set. Hopefully meet Keifer. Needless to say, he's a happy camper.
