MelRock people are the COOLEST

Postby TRAGChick » Thu Jan 04, 2007 9:08 am

Out of the kindness of her heart, a fellow MelRocker burned and mailed me the "Dream After Dream" CD.

I had this back in College, 20 years ago...and someone STOLE it...she had no idea....but asked me if I wanted a copy.

Listening to it right now....

You have NO IDEA how much I appreciate this.....this Board brings the best people together....

Thank you, again.

My favorite Journey album of all time, probably due to the fact that everything else I listen to is progessive for the most part...Great prog/rock/jazz/fusion/orchestral album!!

I also had an extremely cool individual here hook me up w/ the same album.
He knows he is, but he's a bashful, non-glory seeker.

I listened to the three tracks several times last night - wow. Eventhough its just those tunes it is definitely something Journey fans should check out. I always thought it was cool how Queen did a couple of movie soundtracks and I know Journey lent a few songs to movies but to have a whole soundtrack by the band is pretty cool.

Take a listen to Flash Gordon, several of the tunes are definitely Queen rockers and made it to the airwaves but several of the cool instramentals are very cool and never were commercial. I have a boot where they do part of the Moon Theme into Wheel in the Sky - it was cool to hear the whole song!

Thanks for sharing these and I look forward to getting a copy of Dream very soon! Thanks EVERYONE!

People should go buy this. It's been out on CD for at least 15 years in Japan and isn't hard to find. The newest issue is in one of the LP sleeves and was released last month.

No, people SHOULDN'T buy this.
They should steal it from the greedy Japanese record companies who charge absolutely exorbitant prices to foreign customers and demand bonus tracks from artists that the rest of the world is not entitled to.

I'm all in favor of supporting the artist, until it comes to these damn Japan-only releases.

I say that having already been rearended on the Jap Arrival to the tune of $36. Never again.
