Complete shit. Embarrassing piece of the catalog. I'd rather listen to Don Imus being butt-fucked by Al Sharpton.

Yea, yea. Whatever Mr Jameson I mean St John.

Now, I, of course picked 4. I see it as a song kinda like Lights or After The Fall or Eyes Of A Woman, that although mild is NOT a ballad.

Matt's terrific at making these kind of distinctions I'd like his opinion on the thing, too.

If he can STAND giving this Augeri-fronted Journey track another listen before weighing in....

PS: You better footnote JR for using his Joemama nickname for me. We know the bastard's looking :D

The 3 songs you mentioned have smooth, soaring vocals, hammer-licker. The shit stain you mentioned does not. When will you accept the fact that Augeri had a mediocre voice and was a blemish on Journey's resume? Please don't compare any of his songs to Perry's. Try a different singer. Lemmy for Motor Head and Sam Kinison immediately come to mind.

Hm, I'm intrigued that the other 3 who didn't go for your obvious propoganda choice #1 DID roll w/ 4 as in "non-ballad."

not every fuckin non-rocker has to be a "ballad."

The ever-eloquent St John weighs in. Dude, I'm embaressed beyond BELIEF when I have to tell people I'm actually your friend, because as boorishly effective as you are, you always go and, I dunno FEM it up by blubbering all over the damn joint about perry's "Soaring Vocals ( )."

Dunno what in hell's wrong with you. Gotta toughen this kid up.

Sure there are terrible songs on the MUCH TOO RUSHED Generations. The best one(s?) being sung by the drummer of all people. I personally am glad that I didn't outright (since getting it free at the "live concert"), have to pay for Generations.

Best song on it by far, is A Better Life.

The vocals on Butterfly sounds like a man with schizophrenia talking to himself. Funny how you're "embaressed" beyond belief, though. Nice spelling.

I gave my secretary the night off, stain. I make salient points about fatal flaws about your very MANhood and all that strikes you is spelling, which NOone gives a shit about. You'll never learn that way.

You make me ashamed to be a Penn State fan. :P

I think that most would agree that, as it pertains to "manhood," being a fan of Butterfly is MUCH more feminine/faggy than saying Perry, for the most part, was graced with "soaring vocals." Shit, isn't that part of the reason he's nicknamed "The Voice?" What is Augeri's nickname? Deano, care to answer that, sir?

Generations has bad production values. I do like Place in Your Heart, Better Life, Faith in the Heartland, and Never Too Late a lot though.

So for the Augeri era CD's:

Arrival - like that a lot
Red 13 - nah, no hooks
Generations = spotty. Sonically, it doesn't sound good, but the tracks I mentioned I really like

In the Perry era, I hate Trial By Fire, don't like Raised on Radio much (but love a handfull of tracks off of it)

Love everything else Perry era. Great stuff - the true JRNY recordings!

Perry solos:

Street Talk = AWESOME
For the Love of Strange Medicine = SHIT

Now you know where I stand.
