Other than that, I'll wait for you tube boots. If I like what I hear, I'll check out a show, but they damn well better be doing new music. I won't support another GH tour.
True, I'd go with Perry, Augeri and JSS in no order.....Vladan wrote:How about an option "Neither".

Kelty sounded awesome, but Jeremey was there and available. They made him choose between them and his family (reprehensible). Jeremey chose wisely.

Same thing happened to John Schlitt. He did end up singing for Petra (a Christian band), but he could have been as big as Steve Perry if he wouldn't have done the whole religious thing. Once they go that route they usually don't come back.

No offense to Jeremey, but he's a Perry clone. It obviously comes naturally for Jeremey, just as it did for Jason, & I suspect they'd both sound like Perry no matter what they sang.
But it's a contradiction to say Journey should have avoided another clone while at the same time saying they should have hired Jeremey.
As for Jeremey choosing, again no offense to Jeremey, but the way I read his blog, it seems Journey did the choosing, not Jeremey.

Jeremey WAS their choice. They flew in to see him on the east coast. Those 2 little creeps wanted Jeremey to put them first and their 60 year old loser cover band over his wife and newborn. I KNOW the whole story. Suzie as you have been saying to others about Arnel, I will say to you. You are misinformed.
Anyone that buys a ticket to see them are fools.

We all know Jeremey is a great guy & singer. I dont know the whole story. I only know what Jeremey has told us & for some reason, things didnt work out. I'm very sorry for Jeremey b/c he sure seemed tailor-made for the job. They flew Arnel in from the Philippines so obviously, after whatever happened w/Jeremey, they wanted Arnel. Arnel didnt steal Jeremey's job, just as Jeremey didnt steal Jeff's. Decisions were already made beyond any of these singers' control. It's not fair to make that Arnel's fault. If I'm a fool for wanting to see Arnel live in ur opinion, so be it. When I'm at the concert having a good time, I'll drink one in ur honor.

The irony here is, if he believes in God so much, then he must believe he was given a gift by God. To not use it at all is a sin.

Jesus and the Apostles would definitely want Jason singing for Journey right now. God just spoke to me and told me that. The Lord said He was upset because Jason has been rebelling against His will. The Lord said that He is so angry about it that He may send a talking donkey to sing for Journey if Jason doesn't obey His will.

I'm sure if you asked Jason if he is happy doing what he's doing, whatever that is, he'd tell you that he is. If that's the case, then he's not wasting his talent.
As for John Schlitt, if you listen to his whole catalogue with Petra, you'd realize nothing was wasted at all. The stuff he did with them from 1986 through 1997 was excellent. They definitely had their share of "success" as they were the biggest selling band in the genre for several years running and I'm sure Schlitt would tell you that God's plan for him was better than his own plan.
Voyager wrote:I agree. All I said was that he could have been as big as Steve Perry if he would have competed in the rock/pop genre instead of Christian. It was actually a compliment to his vocal skills.
