Sorry if I missed any, but does anyone have any reviews, links, complete setlist, anything? I'm dying here.

Just found this review on the official website. They played Send Her My Love!!!!!! Here it is:

Hi, it's me again.

Like I told, last night I went to the show here in Santiago, and it was awesome, simply spectacular. The only thing I was dissapointed was that they only played for 1 hr and 20 minutes. Too short for such a huge band.

But, talking about the show, all I can say is that again all the people (about 15.000) were surprised by Arnels voice and performance. Neal Schon presents him as the "new vocalist of the new millenium" and he did a terrific show. He sounded better than the first show in Viña del mar, and the sound of the band was strong, pure rock.

The other one that was superb was MR Deen Castronovo. What a terrific drummer. His performance was absolutly AMAZING. No one can believe all his movements and the way he played. Theres no doubt about he is one of the best drummers in the world.

They played all the classics, starting with "Any way you want it", and the rest (not in order) were "Don't stop believin", "stone in love", "wheel in the sky" "open arms", "faithfully", "send her my love", "chain reaction", "be good to yourself", "only the young", "lights", "separate ways", "ask the lonely", "who's crying now" and I was surprised when they included "edge of the blade"(I think that they haven`t been playing that in a long time). As you can see, the show was perfect but, again, TOO SHORT. I missed gems like "lovin, touchin, squeezin", "i'll be alright without you" "girl can help it" or "mother/father", but everybody in the stadium were happy and I can say again THANKS JOURNEY FOR COMING DOWN HERE, AND I HOPE YOU CAN VISIT US AGAIN AND MAKE A NEW CONCERT ALONE, SO IT CAN BE MORE LONGER.

Deen is definitely a fun drummer to watch. He just digs what he does and it shows. I just love that!

Leave out LTS, get rid of sleepers like Lights, Open Arms, WCN, WITS
and add in some grit and some surprises like FITH, Suzanne, M/F, LaDoDa, Dixie Highway,
Lovin' You is Easy, City of the Angels, Higher Place, Winds of March... 4-5 NEW SONGS
to actually SHOWCASE this "Singer for the NEw Millenium...

Oh wait, those songs wouldn't go over well w/their NEW target audience, which seems to be
people over 38 that just want to get drunk to songs that remind them of Jr High, High School,
getting laid in the backs of chevys and pintos!

I guess they could NEVER try to tailor a live set that die-hards would love

I would LOVE to see them FOREVER dump LTS and Who's Crying Now. WCN is the most boring of Journey's tunes. Nothing great about it at all. The "singer for the New Millenium" line is pretty cheesy. They need to come up with a better way of introducing him.

Now I'll just wait for people to post nasty intros for him...

They can introduce him anyway they want...
But it's pretty much a moot point for the crowds to
even know his name if they are never going to get
away from waltzing trhu the DDs/GHs and start
trying to " move this band into the new millenium"

I like that they added Be Good To Yourself. IMO its more "rockier" than the bluesy feel of LTS. BGTY is a much better song to have near the end of the show, and in order to fully give off the new rock vibe they should dump LTS and WCN, and add things like Keep on Runnin', Message of Love, and Raised on Radio. Also, I hope by the time the US tour comes around they add a fresh intro to the set and dump the one they've used for the last ten years. (Except during the 2006 US and Europe tours)

at first i thought "same old set," but then i realized they are playing to a group of fans that have not had the tours. i imagine the fans would be disappointed not hearing the dirty dozen. now lets see what the band does in vegas, that to me is their time to bring out the new music and some deeper catalog stuff. if they choose to stay with the same old set it will cement my beliefs that they've lost all confidence in their own creativity.

I agree Finalfight that he began the song well, I just noticed that he struggled with it near the end. I'm not bashing him, but it seems that they can't play the rockers fast(evidence-Anyway You Want It). I just think that his voice is better at a slower tempo.

Not trying to be too harsh on Arnel but, give me a freakin' break!!!
2 1/2 months of rehearsing and he STILL is having problems w/ lyrics?
And I don't want to hear any bullshit about Arnel STILL needing to learn english!

First off, if he couldn't speak good english he should've NEVER been brought in.

Secondly, these are fucking SONG LYRICS! It isn't like they are using big words
above a 4th grade reading level!

And finally, if you can't memorize the lyrics to 10-20 songs in 2 months then you
don't deserve to be anywhere near that stage! Maybe these guys should let
Simon Cowell and Randy help them with their latest vocalist search, eh?

they'll be shooting themselves in the foot if they don't switch it up. even the most devoted fans have had their fill of the dirty dozen. they showed an energy with jss on stage that had been long gone as well as playing some deeper catalog stuff. if they haven't rehearsed a handful of different tunes and given arnel the time needed to feel confident come vegas, their bigger fools than i thought.

Carlito, I truly believe that the lyric issue was just nerves because in reviews I've read about the show he didn't mess any up the second night.(0f course this is coming from Spanish people who are probably over-exctited that Journey is there) It's one thing to do it in a studio, but to go out there and see 15000 people screaming at you when its only your first time changes things. I wish people would just let him settle in and get comfortable, and make the music his own, and not hang on one night. It honestly isn't fair to judge his first performance. Even saying he was "Awesome" is unfair because, lets face it, he did mess up some lines, and his timing seemed off a little. I just wish that everyone could find a happy medium and simply say "We'll give him a couple of US shows".

Not to try to drift of subject , but the above post startled me. How do you get laid in the back of a pinto?!. THem damn things were tiny (you have to be half the height of Neal Schon) and whats more the damn things didnt have very good suspension. A chevy impala, cutlass cruiser - I can see, but not a Pinto!!!

Or has anyone had a Pinto experience they like to share?

I am trying to not be very critical of this guy. A part of me wants to see him do well.
He's like "Rudy"; that underdog on a team of varsity seniors/dickheads
and a coach (manager) that doesn't care and you want to root for.

Here's what I just said about him in a PM to
someone else:

"As for Arnel, I am gonna wait to pass serious judgement.
I'll wait to hear this supposedly "incredible" new album and wait
to hear what Arnel sounds like 15-20 shows from now, especially
if they are playing anything new down the line.

First impression? Not too bad but I can still hear the accent
and it is pretty damn ameture-ish to be forgetting words at this point.

He does have a pretty good "Journey" tone, though.
I just can't get excited if the new music sucks or, even worse, if the

Although he rehearsed with them, we really don't know how long he did rehearse with them. I remember reading something where he didn't get there till February or something. Can't remember... It was a drag to see him read the prompter and I'll definitely concede that point, but the circumstances he was in... I can totally see how he could've flubbed it.

Maybe AP was sabotaged. Maybe the teleprompters were scrolling the wrong lyrics on purpose at random. When the band found out, somebody put their foot through a screen...which the band covered by saying they had an electrical problem. So they canceled a show.

See that? Read here long enough and you see some amazing things! Other than M/F, City has got to be my favorite song. Back in the day it was ALWAYS played piggy back with Lights. What happened to it? It seemed to just go poof!

I'd love to see them pull a set that was a minimum of 10 of their harder edged rockers/anthems and maybe two (at the most) of the ballads. Personally, I think that would highlight just about everyone's talent (I'll leave Cain out of that one) to the highest levels. Of course, I am not familiar with the Augeri period music (don't throw rocks please) at all, so I guess I should get to learning.

As for the car thing.... I had the 4dr VW Rabbit... MASSIVE room in the back.
