OT: U.S. Publically Admits Screw Up

Postby Enigma869 » Wed Mar 12, 2008 10:21 am

ABC News is reporting that the Pentagon will release a report tomorrow that publically admits, for the very first time, that there was NEVER a connection between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda! Nice of them to finally admit what everyone else has already known for years

Damn, this couldn't have come last week when people here were roasting me about my "Saddam had NOTHING to do with 9/11 comment"??

Well, here we are- With NO connection to Al Queda- this proves my point- HE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH 9/11, not even by association.

BUSH totally said he had connections to Al Queda, now we find he lied about it? And, now we're supposed to stand behind his endorsement of McCain????

BUSH YOU ARE A LYING SACK OF GARBAGE WITH A 2ND GRADE EDUCATION!!!

NOW, get off your ass and go after Bin Ladden, or was that all fabricated too??
GOD, this guy's our friggin' president????? How can anyone defend this guy???

This SHOULD cause outrage in the US. It won't though because we've become numb to this crap.
So we basically went after him and lost a bunch of our guys and put our country into it's worst debt ever because of Daddy???

Hey, I'm sorry guys, but this REALLY REALLY pisses me off.

So, there were NO weapons of mass destruction.
Hussein was NOT part of 9/11
He had NO ties to Al Queda

Yet, our government told the world all of this was in the affirmative. This is hardly an 'oops'.

Yeah, Hussein was killing his own people. So are many in the world yet we only went after that guy.

I hope that people wake up to this evil bastard.

here, let me start:

IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACHIMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACHIMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACHIMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACHIMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACHIMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bush may be an idiot and Clinton may be an adulterer, but fuck if any two consecutive presidents in U.S. history would be more fun to get hammered with than Clinton and Dubya. Sorry, just trying to keep it light

It's design is to allow some wiggle room (plausible deniability) for Congressional seats up for grabs this year.
If we get McCain for Pres and and Democratically controlled Congress may God help us all.

You couldn't have gotten wasted with Carter, that's for sure. But Billy? I know he wasn't President, but he was a beer expert.

Kennedy is the guy you would have wanted to go bar-hopping with...he was the kind of guy who would have introduced you to some good-looking women. I've head some doozies about Truman. Apparently Garfield liked to tie a few on after a six-hour appropriations committee meeting. And you know Jefferson was a party animal.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

I can't provide you with a link, because it's a story that I watched on ABC's World News Tonight, at 6:30 this evening! Elizabeth Vargas said the report is being released by the Pentagon tomorrow, so I suspect it will show up all over the place tomorrow!

What I'm actually commenting on isn't McCain as Pres per se, simply that were he Pres and the Congress remains Democratically controlled, we would find ourselves in the same basic position as we are today. I'm not so sure that they will pick up enough seats to override a veto.
I'm also not so sure Pelosi et al would bury their hatchets and work on real problems instread of playing softball, as they've been doing.

Not sure what this will accomplish...probably some political issue.
If this is true, then more power to the world to hate us even more. And locally (nationaly), more power to the political opposites to further polarize our great nation.

I've never really condoned this war...just all the bad guys in the world, such as Saddam Hussein. Call this war whatever you want, but be certain that America sent a msg to the rest of the world that we're not afraid to 'pop a cap in yo ass' at our own expense.

Hey, been there...done that. Next time you see me, ask about Beirut. Ask my Dad about Viet Nam, and Korea. Ask my family about WWII & WWI. And yes, it wasn't too long ago that our Dads died for the Civil War. NOBODY will ever convince me that being a timid pacifist does any real good. No, hell f'ing no, life takes force. Take charge of your being and you will know for certain that every day is a fight...economically, personally, and defensively. There is absolutley no way that America will ever continue to exist the way WE want it if we sit idly by. We must take the fight to 'them'. Period.

PLEASE FOR GOD'S SAKE, some create a spreadsheet with all the numbers. PLEASE tell me who died when and for what political cause. I guaran - f'ing - tee you that today's battles kill far less Americans than in the past.

And ya know what? It's not our duty to keep people alive. It's our duty to broadcast our way of life and to care for the oppressed. It's our promise to 'democracy' and 'freedom' that we will sacrifice our lives to make it so.

Our young men & women sign a contract and take an oath to do that very thing. (Yes, me included.) If they can't take it seriously, or if we can't ensure that they fulfill their contract with America to do a job, then we should hold them responsible, or at the very least hold all the goddamned liberals responsible for making excuses for them.

God bless George Patton for slapping that Soldier.
Get off your @ss and make something happen. Never sit by and wait to be wronged. Get out there and make sure it doesn't happen to you.

Anyone remember the movie, 'Red Dawn'? Yes, it can and may happen...right here.

I would say that given the fact that this is a Pentagon report, it is highly unlikely that the information is incorrect. I think it's safe to say that the present administration has a vested interest in not having this information released to the public. I admire your staunch, and blind loyalty to W, but I think the rest of the country views the guy as a complete fuck up, and this is simply one more story to corroborate those feelings!

Nobody said anything about fighting VS being a pacifist. And to those who fought and served even in this war, nobody's demeaning them... other than our president who put them 'in harm's way' for whatever the hell he got out of it.
You don't go to war based on lies or for profit. You also do not go to war over what 'might' happen. Today's battles ARE killing less of our guys. That's not the point. The point is that if you're going to war, the cause has to be right, well defined, and THERE HAS TO BE A FRIGGIN' PLAN. NONE of those things can be said for this war.

IMAGINE if Hussein WAS the mastermind behind 9/11. Our country would've been 100% behind getting him and we would've won. With this situation, it's been 'fishy' from day one and it obviously has had an effect on everything.

So in the meantime, we've gotten into a bullshit war and person and organization that DID bring terror to our country is basically free. If that doesn't piss people off, nothing will.

If I remember correctly the main reason when Bush announced the "shock and awe" were the UN resolution violations that Saddam agreed to following Desert Storm.
Can anyone pull up Bush's initial announcement. I've tried and can't find it. I'd like to read it with 20/20 hindsite. :D

I don't remember the Pres or even the agenda driven networks saying there was a connection between Saddam and Al Quieda. He did fund them and killed Abu Nidal point blank and he was a huge terriorist. He gave safe haven to some terrorists . I see Al Queda being close to and funded by Iran.We went in because Russia was providing weaponry to Saddam and hoped ,back then ,to buddy up to that oil or is it oil for weapons. Now Russia can do more on their own. I watched 55 Russian semi's depart to the Beccka valley as a split screen showed us entering from the south. Then Israel and the U S watched it be buried . It it most likely not useable at this point. Our soldiers noticed and said "whoever got rid of this was good" . Vladimir Putin is NOT Gorbachev !!!!
