New Album Update

Postby E5C4P3 4 U » Thu Apr 03, 2008 3:51 am

This is something I posted in the "New Journey BIO(Official)" forum, and I decided to make it as a topic to hear everyones thoughts on the new album.

So here is an updated album summary given all the info we've recieved in the past month:

1. Never Walk Away- Guitar-Driven Rock Anthem
2. Like A Sunshower- An uncharacteristic Schon ballad, but Arnel's vocals should Soar.
3. After All These Years- The next When You Love A Woman/ Faithfully
4. What I Needed- Power ballad driven by Heavy Guitars.
5. Wildest Dream- Rock song driven by Dean Castronovo's furious drumming and Neal's Guitar.
6. What It Takes To Win- Revealed by Cain to be a Sports anthem of some sort (Barely Made The Album)
7.
8.
9.
10.
11. The Journey Revelation- First instrumental on a studio album since Departure.

Tracklisting may not be accurate, but this is just a list combining all of the information I've gathered recently.

Yikes.
Out of 7 songs listed, I see 3 characterized as ballads and one instrumental with the redundant title of The Journey Revelation.

I'm in the minority I think, but Never Walk Away is a better song than Widest Dreams for me...at least after hearing them each once, live. After All These Years simply has stunning vocals, man.

Herbie H. had no qualms about the album. So it must be more rocking. After all he wasn't happy with TBF 8)

what is the minimum amount of rock required for a song to officially reach rocker status? would "faith in the heartland" be considered a rocker?

Wasn't "Knowing that You Love Me" also supposed to be the next Faithfully?
*shakes head*

From the live audio and video I've heard I like After All These Years and think its a thousand times better than Knowing That You Love Me. And the quality isn't that great. :D

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about that title. There better not be any flower child monkey business going on with this new album or I'm going to go friggin ballistic!
