I have a phone interview with Vivian in about two and a half hours...any burning questions out there?

Ask him if there is a shirt made in the entire world that the members of DL cannot take off during a concert?

Ooh...This would be a good one...

Ask him what he thinks of Ronnie James Dio.

Ask him what he thinks of Andrew. I think there's some bad blood there as well.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

There's been a noticeable shift in his playing style since he came to Def Leppard. My question would be this: "Who were your influences and who do you think you modeled yourself after when you played heavier stuff, and who are your influences and who do you model yourself after as it pertains speciafically to Def Leppard's music."

Why has your guitar playing sucked more since you were in Dio?

How about whether there's any chance to get more deep cuts played at Def Leppard shows. Seems like they've been playing the same setlist (Their own "dirty dozen?") for years.

In true Deano, fashion...FUCK YOU, Red.

Ok, I did ask him some of your questions. St John, I did ask him your question, but the dude likes to talk and the answer was like five minutes long, but he did comment on his style changing and him growing as a musician through the years with Lep. He said the Riverdogs got together and recorded some stuff some years back and got about 50% of an album done, but other projects and family, etc, got in the way of finishing that and he doesn't know if it will ever see the light of day, but to never say never.

As of right now, the only new song they are playing is "Nine Lives" at least until the album comes out and the public gets a chance to hear it and become familiar with the songs. As for deep cuts, he said there will be a few and notably mentioned "Mirror Mirror" COOL!

I'm not sure if this has been discussed here but Tim McGraw came into the picture because Rick Allen's wife's brother is McGraw's tour manager.

The title Songs From The Sparkle Lounge comes from the fact that a lot of this album was written on the road. On their last tour they would set up a room in their venue's, put Christmas lights up and jam, that's where the "sparkle" comes from. In fact, he said a lot of this new albums music was inspired by the cover album they did.

They are going to be on Dancing With The Stars on April 29th, and Jimmy Kimmel on April 30th. They also have done some commericals for the NBA.

Vivian is very gracious and LOVES to talk! It was fun talking to him....nice guy.

Oh, and he says "the boys from Styx are very nice lads". :P

We just saw Mirror Mirror and Nine Lives last week. Enjoyed that they have gone back to some High n Dry songs but they did that on last years set list too. I have no problem with repeating set lists, but apparently some fans do. Liked the new song!!

Nine Lives has been used as an NBA promo also. They are marketing it well.
