A few weeks ago I found "Old Yeller" on DVD-my kids have watched it almost daily since then. I LOVED that movie when I was a little girl...what were some of your favorite childhood movies?

Ferris Bueller... my sister took me to it in the theater - was a big deal because I was 10 and she was 16 and hanging out with a 10 yr. old was never on the top of her list. So when she DID I was happy as ever. :D

And for some reason, the movie Tough Guys. My mom had it on tape and I watched it over and over.

Hot Stuff,
Jerry Reed and Dom Deluise are just too funny.
" I didn't know the God Father was Black?"
'He's a warbaby, you see when Egypt invaded Italy..."

"The little girl who lives down the lane"
Fell in love with Jodi Foster and developed a deep hatred for Martin Sheen after seeing this, also received a smack on the noggin from my Mom for peeping through my fingers and seeing Ren ( Jodi's Character) naked.

Oh also "Gregory's Girl"
I know it's sappy but I thought it was cool back then, actually I still enjoy watching it, reminds me of simpler times.

It was 1982, therefore, SJ is somewhere in the neighborhood of 36ish.

Swiss Family Robinson (I still want to live in a treehouse)
The Daydreamer
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (one of the prettiest lullabys in this movie)
Willy Wonka
Peter Pan
Jungle Book
Yours, Mine and Ours
The Parent Trap
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World (not really a kid movie, but I saw it as a kid and loved it)
The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming (another very funny movie..."emergency everybody to get from street")
Herbie, the Love Bug (the original)
The Gnome-Mobile
Angel in My Pocket (Andy Griffith is a minister)
The Incredible Mister Limpet (Don Knotts is a fish)

I first saw all of these in the theater as a kid so now I own most of them on DVD...I wanted to see more kid movies, but my mom wanted to see grown-up movies so we saw & heard a lot more than we should have...very disturbing.

Beauty and the Beast (Disney)
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
The Parent Trap (the original)

We also watched a lot of Sound of Music and The Music Man... and yet somehow I did not become a musical theatre person. *shrug*
