Shoreline ROCKED!!!

Postby Rip Rokken » Tue Sep 30, 2008 11:42 pm

Didn't see a thread yet, so here's a starter. Have to run, but very quickly, it was yet again another high-peak in my Journey fandom experience! Will return to talk more about it tonight, covering the pre-show dinner, the concert, partying with the Pinoy fans at Manilla Manilla, Frank's AWESOME BBQ/Party, and my airline adventures both to and from the show. And pictures, too!

Everyone else who was there, bring it on!

One thing that made me smile: At the end of the show, Arnel was introducing the band, and he introduced Neal as, "the guitar god himself, Mr. Neal Schon!" Neal came back with, "and on lead vocals, Mr. AIR-Nell Pineda!"

A couple of pics:

(camera police were bad down front, so no pics of the band from me)

YES!!!!! I was just about to post about that, and glad to see you noticed it as well! Another MR-born phrase gets some recognition. So who gets the official credit for it?

I was thinking some of the Pinoy fans on the official site came up with it; not sure who specifically ...

In honor of Journey and Revelation, I had those printed at Wal Mart, and gave 10 of them out to Pinoy AP fans in case they wanted something to sign. They loved them!

First mention on the official site is June 20 from Mistymist (if the search function over there is working and it was spelled Airnel :D )

Yeah that had to have been one hell of a great show. Because I jumped in my car Monday night and when I turned on the radio to 107, they were playing one of the newest tunes released from Journey. After the song ended, the DJ got on and was giving lots of great words on how successful the two recent bay area concerts were. Fucking right on! Glad to see these boys delivering the goods.
