Why are they doing state fairs again? Seems to me to be a step backwards.

I wouldn't be concerned until they are doing "only" state fairs. Gotta be the state of the economy. People can't afford funnel cakes and Journey concerts, separately, this year.

Def Leppard is playing the Verizon in Irvine. I think having Poison on their bill is helping them, especially with the publicity for Rock Of Love on MTV.

Going it alone this year isn't going to work for most groups.

So basically artists right now are going to where ever they can sell tickets, no matter where it is.

Doesn't it make sense to be where people can afford to go enjoy them?
I don't think it's just a money thing with Journey. If it was, why would they play a charity event like Sacramento on May 23rd, where the money goes to children's charities?

Did you see how high the prices on tickets for the Manila show were, compared to Rihanna and Chris Brown's show there? It's always about the money.

But seriously, people have been saying that AP should have asked the group to do a show for his charity instead of running around with Lani right before the infamous Super Bowl gig. Most musicians do charity shows, you just don't hear about it.

Which Reminds me, Journey for the cure should be coming up again soon with Steve Augeri.

If i ever get my pay reinstated to what it used to be, I just might. Hopefully, I can schedule a visit to my Mom in Delaware with a stop over in your next of the woods for the show.

I've got a few hundred dollars set aside for next month, but after that who knows.

Moody Blues - Thousand Oaks Apr 6
Celtic Woman- Greek Theatre Apr 25
Boz Scaggs - Agoura Hills Apr 30

Why? The fairs are far cheaper and offer a world of more shit to do. Go to Freedom Hall in Kentucky then. That place holds 19,000.
