Even if he has, which I don't think, how funny was it to watch him make those people squirm, struggle and stutter?

I was gonna let this pass, but....
I think that Bill Maher poking fun at Christians is one thing I guess pretty easy. I mean, probably no christian is going to smack him in the face, so they're an 'easy target'. I also realize that today, making fun of the Bible, Christians, etc, is 'hip' or something. Here is what I would like to see the condescending Maher do one day.
Pick on some Muslims the same way. I mean, you know, make some Muslims squirm, mock them, mock the Koran, etc. He wont. I wonder why?...Easy to pick on the easy targets.....when there is a little more 'at stake', Maher and his ilk are as quiet at a Turkey Farm on Thanksgiving afternoon.

Because "they" are even dumber and more brainwashed than Christians.
Condescending, or brilliant? Hmm........

I would say Condescending. Again, its one thing for Maher to poke fun at Christians and quite another to deal in his typical, smarmy, snarkish way with a bunch of devout Muslims. Dumb Christians? You mean like Jesus, Paul, Peter, James, Issac Newton, Washington, Moody, Torrey, etc, etc?
Someone asked me if I had seen the movie. No. But I have seen Marher to 'his thing' on TV enough to get a pretty clear picture. I doubt Maher would show the same contempt for the the Koran and Mohammad as he does with the Bible and Jesus. And the reason certainly is not because Maher is 'brilliant'. The reason is that if he aimed his utter contempt at the Koran and Mohammad the same way, his life would be in danger. Also, Maher would never even deal with a real theologian. God forbid that he would be shown to be a dolt. And again, the reason he wont deal with Muslims is not because they are 'dumber then Christians'. His problem is lack of guts. There is a better, more descriptive word then guts, but you get the picture.

Actually, your ranting on like this basicaly proves his argument for him.
It is one thing to have religious faith and worship, and make it a serious part of your life. It is quite another to take it to the point wher you wish to amend government to force it to conform to your beliefs, demonize those who do not agree with you, demand you hve the freedom to choose your beliefs but condemn the choices of others when they do not agree with yours.
IMO, if you really had faith in your beliefs, you wouldn't be so angry whith Mahr's opinion.

I'm just saying that the movie is interesting and makes you think, if you're a rational person. That's all.

Yours is a very true statement.....he is a very sad (sometimes funny) little man.
I don't hate the guy....but anyone who cannot see God's hand on this planet and in this vast universe....is simply denying the truth to themselves.
No matter what faith you subscribe to.
He and others like him seriously need to re-examine their lives.

That's just it. He wants more info and is asking questions. Maybe you don't like the WAY he's asking them, but that's what he's doing.
I'm not very religous, but I sure can't say that there isn't a God. I have faith in MANY things. We're all different. I just think he's entertaining, that's all. On politics AND religion.

Now, I can't speak for any other faiths that Bill Maher has made fun of, so I'll just speak from my point of view. If Bill Maher wants to make his millions making fun of Christians, let him go ahead and do so. In the end, he's only hurting himself. He's not hurting the Christian population. In fact, we already knew ahead of time that there would be people mocking us, making fun of us, and alienating us from the world. It's not going to stop us from standing up for our beliefs. I just feel sorry for those who feel the need to support such an idiotic display of entertainment. Those people, in my humble opinion, appear to be more easily swayed than those they accuse of being "brain washed". We can be super sensitive to race, nationality, and sexual preference, but religious beliefs are a free for all? It's a glaring hypocrisy of the world that all nonbelievers will argue up and down doesn't exist.
What I've said all along is this: It's easy to be a nonbeliever and live your life without limits, without morals, and without any regards for your fellow man. But, it takes a real man to live for Jesus Christ.

He's not just asking questions. He makes a lot of really hateful statements about people of faith. He thinks they are imbeciles. That kind of condescending elitist crap is a turn off to me. I am not personally religious but the people I know who are, are the nicest and most generous people I know.

Now see, that is very judgemental and not very tolerant. 2 things that the bible says you shouldn't do. I don't understand that.
