OT - Your Favorite Hugo track

Postby StoneCold » Wed May 27, 2009 11:38 am

With or without a yt clip, what is your favorite Hugo (Valentine, Open Skyz, Ramos/Hugo, or solo track?)

I just posted this in the HM thread and think it may be his best ballad.

Well here's is to getting the bollocks for bringing up Hugo but you do have balls though. As my current favorite vocalist, let me interject with my current favorite song Pages from Hugo's latest release with Valentine, Soul Salvation. Rock on ...

Crazy - Hugo
You'll Always Have Me - Valentine

Open Skyz was crap.

Haven't really listened to Ramos/Hugo in enough detail to make an assessment.....

I can't find a link for it (figured as much!), but my favorite Hugo song is "Blues For You". If anyone can post it, it'd be awesome! It's by far the closest he's ever sounded to Perry or Journey, and he hits a high note in that song that'll make Perry cringe.

Poor guy gets too much of a bad rap 'cause he does Perry TOO well. Had the 90's musical climate been less grungy, he might've been a star.

Wrote some good melodic rock.

Coming from one who has been a Hugo fan since Valentine S/T was released....I must say that 'Crazy' has the most Perry sounding vocal. In my correct opinion...

Right on Jim, it's a great song and I couldn't find a link either. However, here's a sample to a good subsitute:

It's the Love from Hugo's solo effort Fire in the Night http://hugotunes.com/hugo_music.html

Hit the hot link in the bottom right hand of the screen ...

I've got that one (off the Time On Earth cd). Sounds like it was lifted off Evolution.

That may be but it's still better than Journey has done in the last ... two decades. And yes, Open Skyz does suck.

I stand corrected.....Blues for You is a killer song. But that high note at the 3:16 and 4:11 mark is average at best....

Self-Titled is still the bee's knees, though....

Shut your mouth hole! There are a lot of songs on there that were great. Open Skyz sucked ass in my opinion, but this one was definitely a notch above. I think it was the weakest of all of his solo cd's, but not too bad. "Time On Earth" is his best to date IMHO.

BTW...Great clips Aaron. I love those songs.

Hugo - Can't Stop Loving You

Valentine - Running on Luck Again

I don't particularly like anything on Fire In The Night or on the Open Skyz cd either.
