Just asking - but if TBF was such a failure why is everyone looking for One More?

I think there's a select few on the board who have a love/hate relationship with TBF.

Personally, I've always enjoyed the album.

Me too, I tend to listen to it the most lately.....I like Perry's voice with the texture it has. It just seems that alot of people here tend to not like it.....and we have people searching high and low for a song off of it

Its fun to hear Arnel sing something we haven't heard before.....

Plus, One More was a good tune on a bland album

Chronicle Journey - Kobetasonik Bilbao 19-06-2009

I must admit, although I am very close call, that the only purpose of my expedition to Kobetasonik the day was seeing Journey 19-06-2009. Sounded when I got the trash-metal-hardcore of Americans not heard much Trivium and Machine Head concert that preceded and succeeded to Journey on stage respectively.

While doing his discharge Trivium, we went on stage to get 2 front row. The truth is that there was a lot of people. According to the organizers of public half last year, not more than 14,000 people. From what I hear and read in different places, the best of the first day Machine Head, worst, or at least the more disappointing, the head of Marilyn Manson poster. Hopefully this Saturday will not be repeated the same thing with Motley Crue.

But the fact is that I doubt that any group has to play on Friday passed a Journey show that offers at least a matter of taste. We had very difficult. A group of melodic rock placed between Machine Head and Trivium has little to do but the fact is that people came out very happy and I among them.

Very punctual, at 21:25 pm begin to go on the stage Neal Schon, Dean Castranovo, Jonathan Cain, Ross Valory and face in all that we set, the successor to Steve Perry or Augey the Filipino Arnel Pineda. Quickly he put all in place and begins to play Separate Ways with great force. That's when we all realize that Schon wants to give a master class guitar on stage and that we will move very well.

But what many did not expect is that Mr. Pineda, with his Asian features and with that image so unusual heavy singer, gave a recital of authentic voice, amazing voice, and not stop moving, jump on stage and joke. The discovery of Schon on Youtube is priceless. A great voice, an incredible agility and a constant that does not stop it spread to all attendees.

Schon was also great on guitar and on stage. Veteran who was most moved by far and without doubt was the center of all eyes when Pineda was not hitting boats. Jonathan Cain somewhat static. Almost spent more time playing guitar and keyboards just got from your precious red piano Faithfully. Ross Valory is passed the show smiling, it seems that not playing, but the bass sounds very good. And a teacher Dean Castronovo drums. Simply brilliant. As for the sound, somewhat deficient in micro-keyboards and vocals for just listening. A shame because the vocals are those that give a peculiar melodic Journey.

Returning to the concert, the setlist is not much to do with that advertise on its website. Separate ways in which you start to follow Stone in Love Ask the Lonely, Rubicon surprise, surprise with Edge of the blade and from here I do not remember the order but good parrot. One more of Trial by fire, Wildest dream of the last, also the last Change for the better, Chain Reaction, Wheels in the sky, the magic moment of Faithfully and straight with Do not Stop Believin 'and Anyway you want it. Despite requesting encores, the time is fulfilled, about an hour, and the concert is over. We stayed a while but nothing will be done late at Machine Head.

Truth that the concert was great, nobody left disappointed (now begin to receive comments saying otherwise) and the musicians, especially Schon and Pineda, were in close proximity to people and coupled with constant gestures and winks. Perhaps the poorest of the whole show is that at the end or not launched a bloody spike. Castronovo just threw his gloves but went to the hands of the security ...

As for the scenario without major displays. As you can see in the photos and videos, a huge backdrop with the logo of the group, double bass and drums of the spectacular red piano Cain with your keyboard. Luckily no rain, yes, the mud until you reach the ears and straw as they had appeared that were cast in one block rather than a concert.

Seems like all the concert goers are stuck in the dirty dozen, as that's all that seems to get uploaded. I sure wish they'd get the rest of em up.

I noticed that too but there were only 5 vids right now, so I am still hopeful.

But I will be very very upset if nobody recorded Rubicon, Edge of the Blade and One More.

Which is a tragedy. There is a tremendous amount of songs Perry and beyond that eclipse the dirty dozen.

You get what I mean.....the new fans were exposed by the re-treads to those songs...I don't think they have gone out and bought the Perry years for their collections......so they may not even know they are hearing Journey songs....as most of us here would know....just a thought

Yep, one day, one song makes this band absolutely useless....I get it now!!! It's a shame, I tell ya, they just haven't been able to get a gig since. Hell, all the fans abandoned them and they have totally crumbled to a shell of their former selves.

EL MONTE DEL DESTINO | Home
Long live the KOBETASONIK! By Francisco Gonzalo Castillo

Season a success. They are a classic of modern music school and created melodic Hard Rock with his first class. Thirty-six years after its creation I saw live, and let all hell that I failed!. In the end it was the concert I liked the most. Incredible voice of their new singer, Arnel Pineda the filipino. Damn! - Sorry for the heel - that action, still did not stop even a single moment. A ten for the whole band, especially for the good of Neal Schon on guitar and Mr. Castronovo to patches. From here to heaven!. Were in stage 2. Below I leave with you a small video illustrating just hang on Youtube and give my words of good faith.

Btw, have you noticed that Marilyn Manson is getting thumbs down from the critics?

More reviews from J forum,

Jack64

I had the chance to see Journey performs at the Bill Graham Tribute concert in Golden Gate Park in 1991.
Since then,I've been waiting to see them again and last night i felt like a little kid in a candystore.
They blew us away, it was absolutely brilliant.
They started the show with Separate ways, Stone in love and played after(not in the right order)
Ask the lonely
Don't stop believing
Wheel in the sky
Faithfully
Change for the better
Wildest dreams
Chain reaction
Rubicon
The edge of the blade
Anyway you want it
I might have forgotten one or two songs
Playing time : 1 Hour and 10 minutes
Thank you guys for giving us such a great time and hope you will tour again in Europe and especially in France or Spain.

Vive Journey, you have plenty of fans in France.
We were seven guys from Bayonne(France not New jersey, small city near the spanish border).

We love you guys
On vous aime

Joetxu

I don´t have words to express What I feel after seeing Journey yesterday in Bilbao (my 4th show of Journey, in 2006 I traveled to Germany in 2007 and 2008 to Madrid (capital city of Spain) and yesterday in my hometown, a dream come true. Awesome show, pure rock, pure feeling, I was in ecstasy, singing, dancing... Many people that didn't know a lot about Journey's music said after the show, that was the best show of the fest. You give me one hour of extreme happiness. Long live Journey, The Journey MUST CONTINUE, hope to see you soon. Excuses for my poor english.

That right there....REJECTION. Since SG didn't go strong to the hole with his weak shot, he got denied clean by Maui.

Interesting.
Play a few heavier songs.
Play with a little more grit.
Play black guitar.
Wear black clothes.
Wear black leather jacket.

Now we're a metal band!
