Great song....agree?
SP does wonderful on that song. I've just started getting back into some Dream After Dream. :D
I hear orchesta and horns, very un-Journey and very unique.

If they could pull off another concept type album like that, I'd be totally happy with it. When I play this complete album in the office, even people who don't like Journey actually did this. No sap, no pop, just really great musicianship through out this production.

I love my remastered Departure CD with the bonus tracks b/c this song is on there. So I get to listen to I'm Cryin', Stay Awhile and Little Girl, three of my favorite songs and Perry vocals.

Anyone know if any of the Journey members play horns or violins, or were those extra musicians brought in for the album? What would be cool would be to see some footage of the production of this.

I had this song in the car at lunchtime and I have over 1000 watts and most people know that lots of power doesn't have to be loud but it gives the music more punch. This song gave me chills when turned up a bit thru a good sound system. :D

this song, which is so simple, but it's sublime b/c of Perry's mindblowing vocals and Neal's guitar. What a combo on this song. On a great sound system, this song is amazing. Youtube audio can never capture how stunning Perry's vocals are on this nor Neal on guitar.

THE most underrated Journey song.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Played the hell out of Little Girl on the Jukebox in college since it was the only place I could find it back in those days.

I'm Crying is also one of my favorites. It is a powerful song with a great mix of Perry, Schon and Rolie's Hammond B3. Damn I miss Rolie and his B3.

Sandcastles is interesting. Perry's vocals sound as if it were recorded during Trial By Fire, not 1980.

It would be heaven if Rolie came on 2011 and did the American leg of the tour with them. A girl can dream. :)

After listening to Rolie's last interview, he seemed pretty happy with the sound he has going on now. Unless Journey is going to be adding in maracas for half their set list, I don't think he is interested.

Yeah, that asswart was big on the Latin idea. He had this plan, the whole 9 yards, remember that shit? He had merry go rounds with horses popping their domes off the poles, with Journey names and songs on them, a lot of weird assed stuff. Fire wings was a touch to the right of the psycho ward. Dude is about a thousand bricks short of a load. A real shithead. Yeah dude, let's put sombreros on Neal and Cain, and dress up Pineda in some clown gear and play that awful music. You know--da da da da, rumbumbumbumbum, da da da da rumbumbumbumbum..you know circus music all the Beaners play on their radios in their front yards on a Friday evening when their entire families come over, and they all park their Ford Econoline vans on the grass and drink Budweisers and Dos Equis and eat fuckin tortillas and green sauce and call it food? We have that scene play out every other house here in SoCal. They roll into the driveway with boxes of produce and orange soda(Beaners love Orange and Grape soda  ), and they start in with Budweisers, while their 300 lbs old ladies bump around in skimpy girl outfits that a supermodel only should be wearing -with their 6 kids apiece, Jose, Julio, Marquez, Rodriguez, Juan, Joaquin, filthy as fly shit, dirty full diapers of refried beans and cheddar cheese, pounding that Horchata shit...For you non SoCaler's that is some milk product that Mexi's drink. it's like curdled chunky milk...gross shit to be sure.

Yeah, terrific idea Frye..you dumb bastard.

Uh, Deano, the perfection was really meant for Perry's vocals on that particular song. If you would stop digging your heels in and listen to some classic Journey again, you might redevelop an appreciation for these songs.

I know Jana, but Neal is still part of classic Journey, and well, he is a stain on an otherwise damned good band, so I can't go there. Valory too for that matter...but like he said, "I am an alcoholic" though  Says the guy who snorted his way to bankruptcy, and covers up his very mediocre bass playing by shooting water pistols like Quick Draw McGraw.

I don't even read his posts hardly any more. They are ridiculous. Talk about a Pinhead? Man, are you sure this is where you want to go as a Journey fan? Put all your faith in a guy who has yet to writer a single song? Have at it if you must. just bewildering.
