Beg to differ there!

Between the sea of red and this city living and breathing hockey during the playoffs, heck we even have our own "Red Mile".

Thanks for sharing the pics YJ, love seeing any city get right into the hockey craze!

back in 2004 when Canda played Finland in World Cup finals (and won), the place was PACKED plus another 40000 fans outside the stadium following the game and celebrating BIG TIME,,,,,One of my best hockeyt memories ever....

Yeah, that drives me crazy. If you can't win on the road, you don't deserve to win. I'd hate it if the Wings win that way.StocktontoMalone wrote:Detroit is the Yankees of hockey: buying Stanley Cups....
Yeah, buying Stanley Cups, spending the same amount of salary cap money as every other NHL team is allowed to spend?

Agreed...that is a ridiculous comment.
Tonight the better team for sure is the Redwings...and not just because of the score...they are flat out playing better...in all phases of the game.
Like I said the Pens looks lost.

What amazes me is the amount of energy that the Pens carried over from their last win and had TOTAL momentum the 1st 10 minutes of the 1st period tonite....
They still can even things up in Pittsburgh on game 6,,,, THIS IS WHAT KEEPS THIS SO EXCITING AND WHY I LOVE THIS GAME
The Pens backup goalie is doing a tremendous job tonite,,
On another different note,,Any reason why the wombat hasnt posted in this thread yet????

The Pens been looking forward to Pittsburgh since the end of the first period. 7 Penalties (so far) is not a team that has it together right now, or in the right mindset.
If anything, this is a fluke game. 5 goals. 7 penalties. Acting like morons. Something aint right.
To win, someone must win on the road. After this beat down and embarrassment, I don't expect the Pens to lose Game 6.
This is goin 7.

I thought the same thing. Fluery got the rough end of this deal. The way this turned out tonight is FAR from the faults of Fluery. You don't save 37 goals 2 nights before then come and have a meltdown the next meeting. I think it was more of a breather for Fluery than a fault benching. The whole team must of injected down syndrome fluid in their veins this morning.
Fluery is the wrong man to bench. He'll be ready Tuesday without a doubt. After this he has to.

Oh trust me.. we are embarrassed as fans AND WILL LET THEM KNOW ABOUT IT. Other than that, this got a lot tougher but I don't think the Wings can win Game 6 in Pittsburgh. This will end in Detroit. If anything, we put this behind us, there's nothing left to do about this game. I wouldn't even watch film. Re-group for game 6, remember this pathetic feelings about ourselves, and use it to our advantage to take this thing in 7.
Hey, I could make every excuse in the book like you do when we lose, but I won't because I tell it like it is. You can only generate talk when a wins a win.
It's in the Pens hands now as to how to respond to this. (As fluke as I may think it is.) NOT OVER.
