I gotta say this. I've been visiting boards for a very long time. Sometimes I post and sometimes I don't. Years ago I was on BT when there was a man by the name of Meanie. And true to his name; he was the most obnoxious and vile creature I ever met on the internet. He shut down those posters who attempted to make nice and ridiculed those who might agree with him. There was never an apology; Meanie was Mean and the board suffered with him and his antics. I believe he was sanctioned and he got away with it for years.

Now we have Deano. He can be obnoxious. He can be your worse enemy or your best friend. Deano is Deano. Mud slinging. Name calling. Threats.
He could never hand wrestle all these people he's called out. But he does claim that he can and you continue to line up for the fight.

Ah yeah, he's at fault cause there has never been an argument he can't win. Or, so he thinks. He is a force of nature. He doesn't stop. It does become silly and boring; but that's Deano. He has never met a person
who he can't have an argument with.

The BT board was never shut down because of Meanie and his attitude or his personality. So, why do you come here and beg for Andrew to close this board down. Sure, quiet Deano for awhile; he'll be back and stronger and more defiant than ever. He's as predictable as the mail arriving at your doorstep each day.

He's as harmless as you make him to be and he's as threatening, intimidating and confrontive as you imagine. So keep coming, hollering and screaming, demanding that Andrew do something to quiet the man. And, think about your own BT backyard when you had a loud mouth, yelling, threatening, intimidating and vile man screaming at those who simply had an opinion but became too afraid to share it.

Then you can come back and perhaps Andrew will listen to you.

One more thing regarding this whole lipping procedure...
A few years ago,I witnessed the "method" we are discussing here: a concert situation with recorded voice tracks & live instruments.The band’s lead singer had a rebel flu and a nasty laryngitis, but they had a firm contract they had to honor,so they did it “Journey” style (sorry,couldn’t help it).
They went in the studio and took the vocal tracks out from a live CD they had previously released;then they loaded the tracks in the keyboard player’s computer.18 songs,even the 3 tracks for the encore.I watched this closely.The keyboard player had the click track as well as all the others in their ear monitors.They would start off the songs,do some ad-libs,then the keyboardist would start the voice track.The lead singer would be either in the dark so no one sees the first word of the song(that’s the hard part to match,even if he has a click track),or he would hide his mouth behind the mike to "cloak" his vocal intro.After that,everything looked so natural…Funny enough,the backing vox were live,the bass player and the guitarist were singing for real.I saw all this first hand,backstage,plus someone from the tech crew gave me some more technical details.I also went to the mixer.The sound guy had monitors in which he heard the overall sound and made sure the taped voice blended with the live band perfectly.That was his only task.Oh,yeah and to keep the singer’s mike muted during the "singing".
I believe that’s the procedure,no matter if it’s the No-One-Heard-Of-Them band or Journey.
I have to say this...If I wouldn't have known (and seen) the inside story,I would have been fooled... especially if I would have been in the audience.The noise,the energy,the lights and no terms of comparison make everything look perfectly fine.The audience can be fooled easily.

Yes,fooled.No one in the audience pays attention to details like the ones I described.The visual show and the noise levels are so strong they act like drugs on anyone sitting in the audience.Add the skills of the sound engineer and you have the "perfect crime".But,of course,there is no such thing as a perfect crime.The truth always comes into the light.Right,"honey"?

Seems to me such a timely, ‘oh shit this guy just ate us for lunch’ “flashback” should have been posted days ago; At the very least hours ago, maybe even months ago. Funny there was no mention of a name of the “alleged” frivolous band in question. Just an awakening flashback huh Shania?

Do your homework.I posted before about seeing frauds like this.I didn't describe the procedure before because it wasn't that important how it's done.I was pointing out that it is easy to be done,because I have seen how.As soon as the discussion went to how exactly a lipping is set up,I described it.
Again,for you,in slow motion: this... is ... a... standard .... technical ... procedure.... that ..... bands.... all .... over.... the ..... world.... are ..... using ..... in.... a.... lip-synching ..... case.
The name of the band is unimportant.

He still tries, with getting old friends who are now turkey farmers to leak ‘Arrival.’ He releases w’Sony a trumped up version of ‘GH’ in ‘Essentials’ just before the 2001 DVD hits the shelves (and BTW still went #1) Arranged the release of a GH DVD essentially killing the Warfield DVD, and then begs for forgiveness, with the help of JK in getting the Houston DVD OK’d by Neal & Jon in a lame effort to squash the Dallas DVD. He’s out of options now, and so are you. The current tour will break Summer tour attendance marks, and the Dallas DVD will make it to market. It will be one awesome DVD to own spanning 30 years of musical history, and leave no doubt that there was a Journey before SP, and there’s still a thriving JRNY after. It’s incredibly sad that you reach to destroy another human, rebuke another strong tight knit family of wonderful people just to relive a few moments from childhood, or the backseat of that ’78 Camaro.
