However, when he was in The Shadows (50's & 60's) it was cutting edge stuff. Hank Marvin was an iconic guitarist.

Come now Marty. I'm only 41, not even a mom, much less a granny, & I think Sir Cliff is totally hot. What's more is he has been hot since 1958 & that's a whole lotta hot. Even if he is 66, I'd do him & he's the only man of that age I'd consider.

Guys, u do know him. Remember Xanadu(ooh-ooh)? Ok bad memory but hey, ELO was involved too, so Cliff isn't totally to blame.

"We Don't Talk Anymore" which charted at #7 in 79 in the US & "Carrie" are real classics by Sir Cliff IMHO. He deserves credit for charting continually (albeit only in the UK charts) for 58 freaking years. He's done numbers w/Janet Jackson, Sarah Brightman, Olivia Newton-John, Phil Everly, Van Morrison & Elton John (another Sir) to name a few.

ok back to Guess Who

Postby yulog » Thu Nov 30, 2006 8:32 am

Alright lets see if this interests anybody(Larry is going to kill me if this takes off)
Okay heres the deal ill name a band/performer and you will have to name the amount of songs that i request from them.(so if i say Journey and i put the number 3 you say-faithfully,dsb,escape or whatever) i'll also do the opposite i'll put a one hit wonder up(song title) and you name the band(dont cheat see if you can remember -- someone will)
Anyone can put something up , i'd liked to be challanged myself --if people dont get it ill start giving hints like i did with Bing crosby and chubby checker---do the same if we cant get yours

1st up is the song-----HOW LONG who is the band /performer?

No, seriously. They wrote good songs that people dig all over the world. It was melodic too, and during the dark days of disco that was good tunes.

I know you like at least one of their tunes even if you don't admit it.
