It's just that she's pretty hot, too, and the thought of her giving a massage to another woman...I think I need to stay out of this thread.

Nah.

Pfieffer has that odd vein on the side of her face, I can't get past that.

I'd just as soon keep the "joint stiffness."

Rent White Oleander.
It's all I could see in the movie b/c I'd never seen a flaw in here before.
Just getting older's all I guess, still looks great.

White Oleander - Is that the one with Alison Lohman playing her daughter? A hot mother and daughter team! :D

Hmmm...maybe Perry was right? Start a new band, play with whoever you want, call it whatever you want, but don't fracture the Journey name.

Perhaps they could have expanded on a new, fresh sound, thrown in whatever Journey classics THEY felt like playing in their live shows (instead of HAVING to rely on the dirty dozen) and not worry about being pigeon-holed into having to stick to a specific sound/style.

Think about it - by doing this, they could have gotten better mainstream exposure (think Velvet Revolver vs. GNR now), plus this could have left a wider, friendlier door open for a huge ruinion tour at some point with Perry and Smith.

Thoughts?

JSS- a great frontman working with a musically stagnant band. No fire or emotion in the music anymore. Jeff, should leave and seek a group of guys with more creativity. Journey is artistically dead.

Schon- Same playing for the better part of 20 years (as it pertains to Journey). Melodic, only at times, then a crammed 30 second solo.

Cain- Guy hasn't done shit since Frontiers. Shouldn't even be in the band. A "divider." Completely useless. A control freak who's running around like a dog with a 20 year old bone in his mouth. Should be fired immediately, if at all possible.

Castronovo- Great guy and a great drummer....just not in Journey. All of Journey's original material with HIM in the band has featured mediocre drumming, at best. The band needs Smith back. Thanks Deen, but you too are fired.

Valory- Ah, good old Ross. A great bassist and a good man. Ross is a keeper, always has been (hear that Perry). Needs Smith back, though. The two of them really layed it down.

That's my 2 minute review of Journe as we now know them.

PS Azoff should be fired too, but I figured that goes without saying. As of right NOW, Journey sucks. I'd rather go see Frontiers. They actually look like they love what they're doing. I can only say that about Jeff and Ross as far as Journey goes.

--- Well, with Perry out of the band, the landscape sure changed. Not sure if they sucked 100% considering that Arrival was a pretty good album.

---No fire and emotion anymore with JSS? :? Why do you say that?Since he joined, everyone has been excited, including the band.Wasn't this board all fired up about the wave of energy shot into the band, smiles on stage included?

---So Schon is playing the same?Well, hopefully he will always play like he does - that's the reason why he IS Neal Schon. That's his style.
He was so loved here, what happened?

---Castronovo?I believe he came extremely close to the classic Journey sound, voice wise.I wouldn't fire such a talent in a million years!

---Cain?He is very good, but maybe he has lost his Muse.My opinion is that Perry was definitely his inspiration.
Maybe not even Cain himself admits that, who knows?

---Azoff should have done more, agreed. But perhaps he wasn't inspired either...

Come on,SJ...."Journey sucks"?Why?Because they took the year off and the fans are bored?...Or maybe there are other reasons? :?

Whatever...

Yes, Perry was right....

But moving quickly on.......have I missed something here? A few people are talking as though the new line-up won't record anything and that the early promise of this line-up won't be fulfilled after all and so on and so forth.

Isn't JSS just on a farewell tour with Talisman at the moment? Or have serious decisions been made recently in the Journey camp?
