Sorry but Canada is sliding to socialism though. I used to love singing 'oh, Canada' before hockey games. I still know all the lyrics. Can't allow myself to do that any longer though. I still like you though.

If it is true, I seriously don't think there's anything we can do to change it. Can we make it worse? Possibly, but I don't think there's a darn thing we can do about it, at least as far as keeping global climate change from occurring. I do think we should clean up the environment, as much as possible, though. I don't know of anyone who wants to breathe noxious fumes or live next to a body of water polluted with oil, gasoline, or other kinds of pollutants. Those things can and should be cleaned up.

If it is, it is. But we are not causing it. We don't have the power or ability. Remember after hurrican Katrina, everyone was saying it's because of global warming. They're gonna continue to get more frequent and severe. Where are they? It was hogwash more fear mongering. We're gonna be okay. I promise. Before you know it we'll start cooling off again. Some scientists claim we stopped warming in '98.

There was a global warming conference earlier this year, in February, that was canceled or delayed due to cold weather. Poetic justice, in my opinion, and hilarious.

Agreed. You'd be surprised how well the Earth takes care of itself. The saltwater in the oceans is some pretty harsh stuff. There's tons of crude that seeps up through the ocean floor every day. But the oceans do a pretty good job taking care of it. Almost like it was designed that way. Anyway I'm done here for the weekend. See everyone monday. Have a safe weekend everyone. OUT!!! :D
Anyway TVL that duck in you av is doing just fine swimming on that oil slick

Irreversable? Possibly, yes....but what's the alternative? Doing nothing? Change can be done one by one until that one grows to a multitude. We each are responsible for our own actions and we must insist of those that control the reins to do the right thing..not the political and profitable one. It really takes only one gardener at a time when supplied with the information and tools to do the job...who then spreads the seed to others to realize a larger and plentiful harvest for all. I would like to be there and for my future grandchildren and their children to be there to enjoy the abundance of a healthy planet and to see the beauty of nature. Breathable air, clean water to drink, rich soil to grow in, to see the wonders of the animals that inhabit the planet...what better legacy can we leave them? Other generations have made sacrifices for us...maybe now it's our turn to do something for the next.

Even if you dont believe that man causes it does it not seem wise to play it safe and take some precautions ? Just in case ? Just because you dont agree does not mean you should contribute to it.

I think he's referring to RaiderFan's general attitude that he doesn't believe we have anything to do with with manmade GW, so to hell with it, he ain't gonna change his habits.
