When the hell did this become YOUR own online community?? It is always the same 10-12 people who come into these threads and try to force you down our throats. That is no where close to a majority of the people who are members here. It's always the same two who try to tell anyone who disagrees that you walk on water that the "whole forum" is behind you. It is NOT.
Lora is spot on. You have shown how unprofessional you are. Don't bother with the victim routine. You have come in here and blasted other forum members for their opinions EVERY damn time one of your groupies starts one of these threads. This isn't an isolated case. You did the same thing at BT.
The "Perry Impersonator" title is part of who you are. You and you alone are responsible for dressing up like Steve Perry all the way down to a cheesey wig. You've been on Perry boards asking what they thought of your haircut. It is something that will always haunt you. There are pics of it all over the internet. It isn't going to go away because you now find it embarassing. It was your mistake. Live with it.
If you don't want comments on how inappropriate your "tell all" blog is, don't come here posting the link to it. If you can't take the negative comments along with the positive about your work, stop hawking your wares here. Even better start your own forum.

I hear ya, Rick but someone who puts themselves in the public arena should be able to deal with needling comments in a more professional manner. I've read some of Frye's comments but I don't recall him/her ever resorting to a diatribe of that nature.
Lora, first of all, how "famous" should I be before I should be above defending myself in my own circle of friends? Kind of famous? Part time famous? How do professionals deal with heckling onstage for example? Like, I don't know...If someone threw a bracelet at me or something? I've had plenty of my share of heckling at shows and I've dealt with it directly and nipped it in the bud. Shouldn't be any different in my own online community. This is a place I've called home for a good while. If I was to barge in on a Perry board that openly ragged on me, which there are plenty of, and start calling people names and defending myself, than yeah, that's ridiculous. But I've been a member of this forum for a lot longer than my current screenname indicates, and anyone who decides to take potshots at me out of the blue should fully expect that as a member of this community, I'm going to defend myself. I was RUN OFF this stupid board when my name leaked as the "new lead singer of Journey" back in June. I have nothing to hide behind at this point, and if a FEW posts out of the years I've been here contain a few four letter words, and that's an issue for some, than I'm sorry. Mine eyes have seen a lot worse on this forum over the years.
