8) When you have ESPN(Stupid ass 4-letter network) report that the Patriots applied for the trademarks "19-0" and "19-0 world champions" right before the Charger game, it makes you wonder where that humble pie thinking went?

That's why Antonio Pierce said what he said with the new trademark,"18-1 World Champions"
Pineda -"I'm just here to celebrate the legacy of Journey."

Do you remember the Red Sox/Yankees story I told you few weeks ago, regarding my friend in Disney World. Low and Behold, I got the same fucking shit down in Disney World with my own family, 2 weeks ago. I'm walking around with a Giants Jersey and I'm getting fucking massholes left and right accosting me....screaming from across crowds of people that their team is the best team in the world, that the Giant's suck, blah, The patriots are going to beat them, blah blah blah.

I'm enjoying Disney with my family and have to be on the receiving end of this shit?

What the fuck is it with Disney and Massholes?

So...really.....cheaters justice was served. The universe was put back in order....Boston got their asses kicked by a New York team...in a HISTORIC way.

And the Patriots were reduced to the 2001 Seattle Mariners. A team that won a bunch of games during the regular season and went limp dicked when it mattered.

Yes, I do remember that story, and I'll tell you the same thing I told you then...I've never, and would never carry myself in that manner. At the end of the day, it's only a game. The rivalry is fun for me and always has been. That said, my family time is FAR more important to me, and I would certainly respect anyone else's family time. It's one thing to get into a spirited, friendly debate at a sports bar with a guy. It's another to verbally accost someone, minding their own business and trying to enjoy time with their family. That said, to say everyone from Boston is that way is just plain ridiculous! I can assure you that I could offer ENDLESS stories that are FAR worse that doesn't paint New Yorkers in the most favorable light, but there is really no point to it.

As far as Bellichick leaving the field 1 second early...It's a story that's much to do about NOTHING! In fact, I said to some friends that the idiotic media would instantly blow this up into something it wasn't at the time it happened, and sure enough, within 5 minutes, it was on espn.com. As I've said, I have no problem with people hating Bellichick and even understand it. That said, saying the guy just ran off the field is ridiculous. He and Tom Coughlin are pretty good friends and always have been. I saw Bellichick say more to him during their embrace at the end of last night's game than I've seen him say to anyone. There was one second left, and everyone was on the field, from both teams. I think most assumed the game was over (I certainly did), and Bellichick was already in the tunnel, as he is at the end of EVERY game. As for him not being "a leader of men"...we'll agree to disagree. His record speaks for itself. Whether you like the guy or not, he will go down in the history of the NFL as one of the most successful coaches the league will ever see! For all the credit Bill Parcells has gotten as a head coach, don't forget that Parcells has NEVER won a single thing, without Bellichick as his defensive coordinator!

John, to this point, I have not seen any media overblowing of Dickchick walking off the field. This is my own interpretation of what I saw on the TV. It was classless...devoid of true leadership...and it'll be a shame if Boston fans don't call him on it. To let him get away with it, will only rear its extremely ugly head in the future.

As far as Parcells, as rediculous as it to suggest that Bilichick is the only reason Parcells was successful, for all you know, Bilichick might have been cheating his way through that success as well. Once a cheater always a cheater, I say.

I still maintain that this prick's prophetic ability to know what's coming has it's basis in wrong-doing.

I call your attention to Bill Simmons' article on ESPN.com

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/st ... ons/080204

See his #4. What he doesn't say (and since he's a masshole, wont) is that the reason why NE didn't come play the game as the old team, is because they didn't know how. They didn't know what was coming, they had to play this game like every other fucking team in the NFL. For real. Their play books were not prepped with illegally gleaned intel of the other team's attack plan.

We saw a completely different patriots team beacuse they had to play without the advantage of knowing the other team's play strategy.

Simmons makes comments about how the team looked flat, etc. Hell, maybe they were scared.

Maybe they felt like Steve Augeri after being told that he was actually going to have to fucking sing after a long period of relying on tapes....wtf knows.

The more I think about last nights game and how poorly this supposed Jaugernaut handled the Giants, the more I am convinced that they've been cheating all along...well, correction....Bilichick has been. Hard to prove the team was in on it....but videochick and his two right hand men were fucking eyeball deep in the shit.

Dude...

Your venom for Belichick and the entire Boston area is VERY clear! You have an agenda, and I don't fault you for it. I just think your comments are incongruous with what reality is. As I've said 100 times, the Giants flat out played better than the Patriots played, and in my opinion, A LOT better! That said, you're making it sound like the Patriots were blown off the field. The reality is that they lost the game by 3 points (which should have tied the game if Bellichick had enough sense to kick a field goal when it was 4th and 13 earlier in the game). A 3 point victory over a team that you completely dominate the line of scrimmage against doesn't make the Patriots into the fraud team you're claiming they are! The Giants were a better team last night. That's the whole story. You also completely fail to acknowledge that this same Patriots team almost lost to both the Ravens and Eagles, two teams that are FAR worse than the Giants are. Again, it's football! The Giants won the title. Enjoy it for the next 12 months, and we'll see you next February!

The better team won last night. That's where it begins and ends.

Strangegrey, I agree with you most of the time, but there are a**hole fans in every major sports city. One in particular comes to mind...a little East of Harrisburg and adjacent to Delaware. In national surveys, Philly fans ALWAYS rank as the #1 most disliked fans in the country (fan and player polls alike). Boston doesn't even crack the top 10.

So get off your soapbox. The Pats didn't have any advantage the first 18 games that they did not have last night.

Why did they lose? They failed to make adjustments. They got outplayed and outcoached.

There is NO WAY Kyle Brady should have been left alone to block Uminura or Strahan. Brady wasn't calling audibles. Maroney was left hanging in the flats too may times...they hardly called any screens. They should have ADJUSTED and had him stay in for pass protection. It wasn't the first time they got outcoached this year. It was on the national stage, in front of 100 million people.

And EVERYONE finds reasons to jump on the bandwagon to trash successful teams. The Broncos were accused of chop-blocking. The Forty Whiners were accused of illegally circumventing the salary cap. The Rams were accused of paying off the refs. The Cowboys were accused of stealing and copying the playbooks of their opponents (this has been forgotten over time, but was considered "fact" at one point by people "in the know").

What did all those teams and the Pats have in common? They were the best and everyone wanted to knock them off the pedestal.

So stop taking potshots and Boston and its fans. And stop devaluing the Giants' win last night. They won because they played better. Period.

And the Pats will be back...I GUARANTEE you Brady and company will win at least two more titles.

Dude...

Way to bring it! GREAT post! I thought you were making excuses for our Patriots earlier in this thread, and now you've manned up! I agree with EVERYTHING you said in your post. The only other criticism I have of Bellichick is going for it on 4th and 13, when the Patriots weren't moving the ball, AT ALL! There is ZERO excuse for that call! He should have tried a field goal, and unlike all the experts on ESPN who said it after the fact, I said it at the moment he made the decision. It simply isn't a smart football decision to ever go for 4th and 13, unless the game is on the line, and you have no other choice!

As for Strangegrey...He's really a good dude, but, any New Yorker calling out a Boston sports fan, is beyond laughable. I can tell you this...There are a GAZILLION New Yorkers who go to college in Boston, because they can't find a school in their own state worth going to! I was surrounded by these knuckleheads my entire life. I could never go out in public with my Red Sox hat on, without one of these jackasses telling me how superior the Yankees were or yelling out "1918". I've heard the shit for years, but have honestly never been bothered by it. To be honest with you, before 2004, there wasn't really much I could say to these clowns. I remember in 2003 when Aaron Boone hit the HR off of Wakefield in the playoffs...It was after 11 o'clock at night, and when of my wife's OBNOXIOUS NY relatives called our house to laugh at us and say "wait until next year"! It was her uncle, who lives in NY and was raised there! That's why I just laugh when I hear anyone from NY criticize a Boston sports fan! It's really no different than the stories grey has told on here about Bostonians. The only real difference I've noticed with Yankees fans is that their mouths aren't quite as big the past few years. I'm sure if they win again, any time soon (which they won't), it will start all over again. Fortunately for me, I NEVER have to listen to another one of these morons yell out "1918" again. After the Yankees CHOKE job in 2004, they don't seem so anxious to taunt us!

Yeah, even my father (who is a musician and doesn't pay attention to sports) called me to harass me right after the game. As did my brother, sister, step-brother, and cousins. Six phone calls in 5 minutes.

Thank God we have the Sox, dude.

I don't know the first thing about betting on a football game, but I did pick the Giants to win this game, by this EXACT score! Now, for anyone who knows... had I chosen to lay a hundred bucks down on this game, and getting the score exactly right, how much would I have won?

For all you can say about assholes in every city, there's twice as many assholes in boston.
proven fact.

moving on...

as far as the other 18 games...I'm fucking sorry. when one game gets called into question, the others do as well. I don't like cheaters...and there's a reason why you fail a class when you're caught cheating. Everything else you've done gets called into question. Go ahead and try to rationalize away spygate. Because the 02 Superbowl is the 800 pound gorilla in the room...
