They have done the night show/talk show circuit just like Journey did before their tour last year. I really think that gets people interested and more likely to buy a new album. Those shows get a lot of viewers and sparks interest for people who would never even know new music existed, since they don't read a message board everyday like we all do.

Yeah... something like "Hey Bessie, I just saw Sammy Hagar on the Conan show. What d'ya say we get off the farm for the first time in 15 years and drive to WalMart to buy the new ChickenFoot album?"

Bessie the Cow?

If he's talking to his cow, he might have bigger issues...

No, he was talking to his wife who is a former nude model turned chicken farmer's wife.

And we're supposed to believe THAT Bessie has not left the farm in 15 years

Have fun! I hear they might be coming back around this way later on, so going to try to catch a show too. :)

On the 1st leg of the north american tour, they were doing bad motorscooter & deep purple's highway star. At the weert show, they did bad motor scooter. Not sure what they've got cookin' for the next leg of the 'foot.

they cancelled a few shows so chad could see a specialist in london, but fortunately, he recovered in time to do the last 2 european shows. it made me a little nervous, as i wasn't sure i wanted to make the hellish trip to weert if there was a chance they'd cancel that show too. the trip involved a 3:30am shuttle to heathrow, flight to amsterdam & 87 train changes to weert. since i went to see the electric boys at hammersmith the night before, this was all done on NO sleep. i nodded off on one of the trains, thought i missed my stop, hopped off at the next station in a panic, then realized i was at an unmanned station & i had no idea where i was other than somewhere in rotterdam. it all worked out in the end & that day turned out to be one of the funnest days ever! i really enjoyed seeing jeff beck & tesla too.

Saw Chickenfoot last night and like everyone before has said: What a great show!! The music is great live. Chad Smith looks like a really fun guy, Sammy just keeps on rocking and the band was having a blast all night.

The real surprise was the opening act, Davy Knowles and Back Door Slam. What a guitarist and what a show. They did a cover of CSN's I Almost Cut My Hair which was amazing. They even managed to get a standing ovation from the Sammy/Joe S crowd. I couldn't find this song or anything from last night, but here is a vid from earleir this year. You gotta see these guys. They didn't blow CF off the stage but they sure impressed me (although I'm no guitarrist) and set the bar for the show.
