Well, I only got to hear about 5 minutes of the interview. I'll definitely download the Podcast to hear the rest.

When I got on to where I could hear him, they played a montage of "Don't Stop Believin'" from Family Guy, Glee, etc. and Steve started talking about how his mother thought maybe it was the wrong thing to do to let him get started singing and he could've done other things like doctor, farmer, etc. and then he got choked up talking about how she believed in him and as he gets older, he's realized the song helps him to from time to time.

I gotta get that whole interview. 8)

Okay- this is just a guess, but if you go back to where I sent you before to listen to the radiocast, (http://www.cbc.ca/radio/) click Central for region, maybe that will pull it up? I clicked Eastern before, Central would be an hour behind... I'm listening now.

I have to agree with the earlier post he sounded really choked up when he mentioned his mom. No new news guys, but it was cool to hear his responses to the Glee, Family guy and other things about the song, and what the song means to him now.

This loon is happy! :D

Me too. Did the site crash, cause I couldn't get on for about 10 minutes. I'm disappointed about no news for the future, but that was to be expected. Still got the warm and fuzzies anyways. One happy Loon.

So nothing new at all? Extremely dissapointing. Did the guy even bother to ask him about anything he was doing?

No he did not ask about the future, but he did try to open up that topic or direction by saying alot of people really miss hearing him.

I might be wrong but it sounded like maybe the interview really was about DSB and its effect upon today's television programming...all those television shows with the DSB music in them. I think that DSB was the main focus and everything else we heard was the extra stuff he was able to talk about during the interview. I thought it was neat, revealing and current.

I agree with you about the interview. I really liked how he was so vulnerable in the interview about his feelings for his Mom, and also about talking about how the songs are helping him now in his tough times. I wonder what is going on in life that makes him sad or emotional? Just silly Loon thoughts, sorry.
