Don't worry, Isla will probably dig up WDILYL or WIN for you...wait, they didn't play those. Okay, make that Open Arms or Don't Stop Believing.

Searching . . . searching . . . just to please you, GB!

I can't wait. You do the grunt work, then I'll do the analysis.

I've got my analyst hat ready to go.

...are you outsourcing labor too?

:D

Isla is a good worker, immigration status shouldn't play a part in this.

(You're not a TNT are you, Isla?)

They all say that. But it really is about cheap labor

He's like an abuser, but Isla won't see it coming. Whatever she posts, even if it's amazing, he will say, oh, another Faithfully, another SW, another Change for the Better, and if he gets an average one, he will pounce with glee.  So never a compliment that Isla so wants from GB, and she will continue and continue trying to earn praise from him with the perfect video to make him happy and it will never come. He has her completely under his control.

I know! If he will have his way, he'll only pay isla a bowl of rice

My guess is that he has a military background and where he has been stationed he is used to Asian people being subservient to him and beckoning to his every call. I don't get that for 10 more years, when I retire to somewhere.

Partially right. I took care of my house girl though. Paid for school and gave her an allowance for her to send home every month. I was in the SOS so she was left to her own devices most of the time as I was out of country quite a bit.
My neighbor, who was a Filipna had Negritos working for her. She would pay them with canned goods (sardines, oysters, etc.) They seemed pretty happy, none the less.

Yes. They used to handle the security at Clark until the base back went under Filipino control. There was no pilferage issues when they were in charge. As a deterrent, they used to leave trespasser's heads (NPA, I'm assuming) on spikes on the back side of the base were it was very wide open. They were the only people that could show their province card and get on base without an escort. Very honest people but a force to reckon with. We used them as guides for all of our jungle warfare exercises. They're Bad little fuckers with their bows, crossbows, spears and blowguns.

I'm glad you enjoyed the show. It's cool that you went with your dad because I took my daughter to her first Journey concert last month. We had a blast.

Journey is running on all cylinders, and sound as good as ever. For all you of people that can't let go of the past, get a fuckin shrink.

I ran into a couple long time fans who I did not expect to see. It's still hard for most old Journey fans to stay away and I feel sorry for those who remain bitter and miss out on some great shows.

Back to the concert. It was a great show complete with an extended extended version of WITS. Neal was on fire and went from one side of the stage to the other several times. Ross was hilarious as usual and AP is really turned into quite the show man, he was connecting with everyone in the audience not just those up front. There were a lot of smiles in the audience, it was pretty hard not to smile between Ross's faces and AP's smile. I really missed Deen singing tho. There were a few gliches in the sound, but this band sure knows how to recover seamlessly.

I love Heart but Ann seemed to be struggling a bit tonight, but man does she still have the pipes and still put on a fantastic show.

There was a strict no camera policy which I believe is due to Heart. At Indy security told folks that no cameras could be used during Heart's set but Journey had no problem with it. At Rockford they were checking for cameras at the entrance, so pics are going to be rare. This is one time where I would love to see a you tube of WITS. Oh well, I guess I will just have to see another concert. :)

Interesting. A concertgoer who posted his review on Journey's website said Wheel In The Sky was the peak song of the evening and that they rocked as hard as Rush or Van Halen on that song. As hard as Rush? I don't know. :D That I would love to see, b/c I love Rush.

Oh yes, Neal was on fire and went from one side of the stage to the other several times, with a little hop to boot at times, so at one point I wanted to yell "Neal be careful and please don't hurt yourself".

And yes, WITS was awesome and Faithfully was amazing.

Arnel commanded the stage very well. The audience responded to him with so much enthusiasm.

Watching people dance awkwardly and seeing high fives flying everywhere before and/or after their favorite songs, put a smile to my face.

Like Pianoman just mentioned, Journey truly is firing on all cylinders.

It was an awesome show and that place was loud.

This pinhead is more proud than ever. :D

I was going to bring my video camera, but there are already thousands of Journey/Arnel videos on YouTube, so I figured why try to sneak the camera in and take a chance of having to walk back to my car to put it away?

They basically performed as good as this video from July 30:

So, just watch that one and pretend that it was from Rockport... errrr I mean Rockford.

As they didn't play anything new or different, wise choice. Why buy a ticket to a show and worry about filming things? Just enjoy the music. If other people want to see it, they can buy a ticket. Prices are about a third less than they were last year.

I'll say this much, Arnel was as energetic last night as Perry ever was back in the day. I don't remember Perry doing any flying scissor kicks before... but then again, he was probably so tall and skinny that it would have thrown his back out.

I attended this show and was NOT disappointed. Heart rocked the opening set, and Journey completely rocked the arena roof off! I was very surprised that the arena was only 80% full, but everyone that was there was very enthusastic!

It was hilarious how Arnel kept referring to Rockford as Chicago.

Highlights:

Wheel in the Sky - The boys played a longer version of their already extended version. It was the hardest rock I've ever heard Journey play, comparable to Rush.

Faithfully - An outstanding rendition of 'Faithfully', superb vocals.

Dead Or Alive - Not a song you hear very often, and Arnel nailed it

Only the Young - I've never heard an audience sing along to that song like they did in Rockford.

Alone - Ann Wilson delivered a goose bump raising vocal performace, the roar from the crowd was deafening

Barracuda - Wicked opener from Heart! It got the arena rocking!

Crazy on You - Powerful and arena pumping closer to Heart's set! Gotta love the pig-tailed keyboard player! She rocks!
