Well, today is the DAY!!!

I got an email from Walmart.com saying that mine has been shipped to my friend's house. Expected arrive is between October 5-9. It will then have to cross the Atlantic before it gets to me.

Ok, so people were right -- these stores probably DO have the disc, and it's sitting in the back labeled for release on Oct 6th instead of today. I also had a manager go back himself and sure enough he returned with 5 copies of the Manila DVD. Plus, I scored me some KISS!!!!!!! If it helps, there were two types of time-sensitive labeled boxes I saw. The green one in these photos is the one I mentioned, but there was also a yellow sticker I didn't take a pic of that said something like "DO NOT DISPLAY BEFORE OCT. 6th", and those boxes seemed mainly to have video games and stuff in them. I never saw the actual box my Journey DVD's came out of.

Bought all the last remaining 12 copies available at a WalMart near me. They sold out even before the day of release is over and they were not even on display yet as people were buying them literally from the storage.

Well I am beyond pissed!! I called this morning and our walmart said they had it in stock. Went to the store did not have it. Was there a good hour. Went to 4 other walmarts that the home office showed in stock and none of them had it. I had 3 managers from 3 different stores go to the back while I was getting beyond pissed. There is only 1 other store about 50 mintues from me that I did not go to and I am on the phone now trying to get to the bottom of this. Every single store I went to said they had tons of people coming in looking for it but home office only showed like 8 here, 10 here ,15 there! That's all they are getting? This is beyond screwed up and as of right now I still do not FREAKIN have my dvd!!1 Somebody upload every song to youtube until we can get it Monday or Tuesday. I hate the store beyond PASHION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Called 2 Walmarts, they don't have it they say. Called another one, after 10 minutes, the guy said they have it. Went to the store a few hours later. They don't have it. I told them to look in the storage. Nothing. Went home empty handed.

Now that Rip mentioned it, I should have told them to check the 10/06 box. (Btw, there was another guy in there looking for the same thing, probably as pissed as I am).

They never get this right.

SUCCESS!! I only went to one Wallyworld thats close by. Went in the music department and asked the kid there for it. He insisted they didn't have it and I insisted they did and told him about the mixup with the date on the label. He said even if they did have it he couldn't sell it unless he got an okay from the company that ships it to them...and then said he would have to call them but he wouldn't because it was past business hours. I asked him if I could speak to the manager then because the release date on Walmarts own website said it was today. He went to the phone and pretended to call...I got on the computer by the register and looked it up. He then came over and once I pointed the date out to him he had no further argument and went back to get it for me.

Okay maybe I was alittle over excited BUT after working 90 hours in 6 days I was really looking forward to some down time to watch this that I won't have again till next Friday. Forgive my over excitedness!! And no Perryswoman all the way!
