I hesitate to even use the term "mother" because of the damage she inflicted on her, not to mention that she abandoned her to live in an orphanage for the first six years of her life without even so much as a visit the entire time. Booze was apparently more important.
Anyway, she has some learning difficulties and behavior problems because of it. She struggles with her memory and language skills. We've gone a hell of a lot since we adopted her but I don't look at her as being less than any other kid her age. Yes, she has struggles and probably always will to some degree but she is still precious and God has an awesome plan for her life.
I admire your helping out this child.
Well, I never had a child
closest I come is with my young parrot.
So no pickin on my winged child
I respect every parent for the awesome responsibility and committment a child is.
It;s not easy and each of them tries to do there best but come with there own limitations.
We have to study a booklet , take a test & get a license to drive a car but unfortunately anyone has the right to bring a child into this world. We need to have insurance & have our cars inspected every year for safety but there is not one single thing a society can to to ensure that children come into this world under the best circumstances.
There on there own the victim of the act of conception & like it or not they have no choice in the matter.
Sometimes they don;t have good healthcare or nutrition or are just not even able to take care of themselves & it's the innocent child and society that suffers. Still we have not the right to control what is considered and inborn right to being a human being.
Not everyone has the patience & understanding & selflessness & even funds to bring up a healthy educated child in this world.
most households have to have both parents working to even get by while children are raised by daycare. Maybe this is not a bad thing. Hopefully these caregivers will be professionally trained and able to address there needs.
Still who knows the long term affect on development of a child who is see sawed back and forth from day to day at a early age.
Society does it's part to try to make sure some sort of fundamental health care is accessable to the disadvantaged. but it is really not fair to put the burden on others.
No one is too blame
this is the cycle of life and each of us have our own part in it.
Now this is getting really heavy
but we have touched on some important fundamental issues.
To affect change
you have to get to the core of the problem.
not lashing out in anger and applying bandaids.
All I am saying is what we are born into this world with is really out of our hands
What is important is that we nurture the best out of everything that we are given.
