Sorry. I love Steve Perry, but I think the bulk of his solo material sucks.

I wouldn't say suck, It is below par of his writings with the Journey team. More reason to show that Journey wasn't just about Steve Perry, Neal, Greg, or Jon-ERIC

I have never seen a Journey concert in any of their incarnations,because I was trapped in a communist country for 25 years and I wasn't allowed to travel.Hearing all these stories from my friends who were there,in the audience,was magic.

THAT is sad. Seriously, I can't imagine living in a land locked jail cell. Although living here under the Bush Regime is probably just as bad. I wish that fucker nothing but the worst. I truly hate him...more than anyone, except Monker.

All of you who saw Journey on stage...you are all lucky people.

I know it is only a matter of time before I start receiving emails on this, so let me say this now. I have no knowledge of this book or the author. I went to the site and read what is available on the book and noticed I am thanked. I'm not sure why since I had no input on or knowledge of this project. Please do not make any assumptions that Steve Perry has read or even knows about this book. I'm sure the author put alot of time, effort and care into her book and I am not trying to discredit it or her, but I do not want anyone thinking I was involved. Thanks.

Fred,on the front cover of my book,right under the title,it says "The Unauthorized Biography".I am sure you didn't see that,maybe because the picture of the cover is too small.So this issue is covered.Also,inside the book,on the copyright page,I mentioned the fact that this book is not approved or endorsed by SP.Clear as daylight.

Regarding production/printing costs, Booksurge has an option where you can have your book printed for $99 if it's black and white and $499 if it's in color (full color throughout) as long as the book is submitted to them in PDF format, completely print ready.

LOL,actually,I did write the book,meaning that I have created its content with my own words.Sure,my work is based on articles,interviews and such,but it's original,not a copy/paste thing.The only different chapter is one of The Fans.They wrote that and it's beautiful.

How long?Enough.Research,reading,timeline stuff,formatting,design,asking permissions,the writing itself...One year and a half.

For you?Depending in which language you will write it.In Romanian - 100 years.

I wouldn't know about that. I'm sure Shania went through the proper channels to get fan stories.

But I do know that ideas are not protected by copyright laws, not in the US anyway. So, anyone can use the idea of fan stories in a book, and many authors have previously.

None the less, as I said previously in this thread, I am looking forward to reading Shania's book and Deano's too.

This band has been more than an inspiration in many aspects of my life.

Infact, I'm doing a tribute to a friend lost on 9/11 tonight. We're holding it on our roof so the blue lights from ground zero will be shining in the background, and at toast time Beyond The Clouds will be played.
