I do wish Neal would call Jeff. He would be shocked at the response he would receive.

I don't know why Jeff would ever want to talk to him again, but if there's a chance Neal should jump on it. What the hell is wrong with him? Image

Well in Jeff's case, I think you have to look at it from a business standpoint and leave the personal shit out of it.

If Perry tours with Journey in 2008 I will eat my own shorts.

Unless Steve Perry can do it to the point that HE feels he is giving the fans 110% he won't go out. He wouldn't want to disappoint us.

well, since we already have two "in the know" credible people on these boards (Lora & Cyndy) basically saying it's just another rumor...no need to get all fired up. It's a drag...all these other bands are reuniting left & right and are out touring & the only singer & band I really care the most about will never happen again! :( It's crazy...today I walked into a store & DSB is playing, I get in my car later & DSB is playing on another station. I've been hearing Oh, Sherrie many times in the last 2 weeks in stores (the clerk was even singing along), on the car radio...it's all out there & if it were ever to happen - it would have to be now. Why can't they just put it aside for a short time & just do a big charity benefit concert or something?!

If this is true, it seems to me that Journey has become a touring karaoke bar. Do they really think fans will pay to see this charade again? They won't get in my wallet again unless it's Perry. Based on the poll I posted earlier, the majority of you feel the same way.

If it is Arnel, and I doubt it is... we will deal with it by never listening to this so called Journey again.

Ref: the Kevin Shirley diary entry on his webpage - Perhaps Arnel sounds so much like Perry in the studio that it gave him flashbacks of `96. Assuming Arnel and the rest of Journey are in the studio of course.

That's what people said about Augeri and even Soto. So what if he can hit a few high notes? They might even be able to find someone who sounds a little like Mick Jagger - but does that give him the right to front the Rolling Stones?

Unless it's Perry, I won't even bother to watch the YouTube boots of the tour. I've had enough.

I want it to be Arnel.

Want them to fail so Neal has to fuck guys for pay.

Poor Kamala. I hope he eats them and hires a Ugandan flavored band to be the new Journey.

I agree. I saw Perry with Journey in the 80's. Every version of Journey since then has been my loss.

Although tastes differ, as a Journey fan you need your ears checking. Seriously, Arnel is an amazing AOR singer and will do incredible justice to the Journey back catalogue - the so called legacy sound. If the band are happy too, then great. Perhaps we will see renewed energy and enthusiasm across the board this time instead of certain band members being surprised when fans mentioned how much the enjoyed the shows with JSS at the helm.

Of course they could always crash and burn...guess we'll find out in February. As for the studio thing my guess is they are rerecording some of the classics with their new vocalist.

If they are then I've finally lost whatever modicum of respect I may have ever had for Frig and Fro. Well, actually I had none anyway.

I don't know who changed the title of this thread, or why they felt it needed changing. It now says "Journey to Tour with Perry in 2008 - FALSE!!!!!!!". That is not what I posted. I posted "Local Radio Station Says Perry to Tour with Journey in 2008". In my post I stated that it was a rumor. I did not elude that it was a fact in the title or in the post.
