Don't sweat it. You have to put things in perspective. Lora is Perry's "Bullhorn" and guardian of his image...and that's ok. Her being sensitive and/or misconstruing comments is akin to someone being sensitive at remarks about one of their family members. It's all good on both sides, Annie. No need to aplogize. You're both respected here.

Well, thanks, SJ. You and I have never exactly seen eye-to-eye on things. But, I do understand, on a public messageboard, one can never take things too seriously (or personally).

Always knew you were a loon..........so am I..........LOL! It made a lot of fun for me to rib my Dodger loving husband on here, so it is all good! :D

Yep, we are loon sisters, A4P. The last thing I want is to have my loon credentials called into question :( .

You need your SPIN card.........mine is gold......well.......so was everyone elses...............

I love the stories (from you, MistieJ, Lora/Cyndy) of those times. The SP/Journey years completely blewed by me. All my knowledge of their history are retro-.

Image

Some things I had to live vicariously through people like Lora, Cyndy, and Mistijourney too........Mistijourney lived in CA and would share her experiances with me......we talked on the phone some too. I think it is cool that people were so into sharing stuff back then. Photos, memorabilia.........but there is so much cool stuff around for new loons to enjoy too. I'll PM you some of my photos sometime, I am sure you have seen most of them though. :D

A4P, just saw your new avatar of SP ... ROR is my favorite era and album. His vocals and stage presence was the highlight of Journey's entire history, imo.

My biggest regret is not having gone through the actual experience that some of you have. I've always been a fan of music and, like everyone else, over the years, accumulated a sizeable collection of records and tapes (remember them?) from favorite artists. But that now dwarfs and collects dust in comparison to all the SP & Journey music/boots/radio shows that I have begged/borrowed/purchased only since '05. Not a day goes by that I don't put a SP record on. I was immediately hooked the 1st time I actually heard/saw him sing as Steve Perry (on the WeAreTheWorld 20th Anniv dvd). I am a loon for life.

Correct, we don't. Note in 1983, there is hot pink writing on the shirt. In 2009, there is not. Not the same shirt. The man, however, is timeless!!!

Hey...black looks good on him, so I can understand wearing it often. Still... for 60, that man looks amazing! He still looks like he's in his 40s.

How the hell does this guy do it? He looks incredible, and I don't say that as a loon, but rather as an esthetician. It looks like he has had no work done or anything, other than hair colour. Unbelievable, he doesn't look a day over 45. Keep going Man, you're doing something right!!!!

He does look great, no where near 60! That was one of the things I noticed when I met him, the guy's got GREAT skin....must be the Porteguese. :)

Off the record he even looks better in person.

flowing soft upon the wings of time...

This came from www.fanhouse.com

"At one point, Ramirez waved to Chicago White Sox players taking batting practice on a field below. When the news conference ended, Ramirez posed for photos with former Journey member Steve Perry — a lifelong San Francisco Giants fan who nevertheless said he'd cheer for Ramirez."
