If Perry were to release a new CD that would put it on a collision course with the release of Journey's new CD. That is assuming, of course, that Perry releases anything at all. Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?
In reality, which is not where most of the die-hards (on either side) live...... it's neither good nor bad. Totally subjective based on which team you bat for. If you're a "Perry ruined Journey and they ROCK so hard without him!" guy (or girl) then it's a bad thing because he will be seen as "up to something" and his release will be "SUSPICIOUSLY TIMED!"
If you're a full-on wack-a-loon, then it's a good thing because "he's going to blow Journey off the map! Drool drool, squish squish..."
If you are in the middle and don't really give a damn about conspiracy theories and excessive drooling, and just like the music, then it isn't a good or a bad thing. It just 'is'.
Well if they come out at the same time it will sure make for some great threads on MelodicRock!!
HOO BOY! A head-to-head show down. Perry v. Journey and/or Perry v. Pineda? Andrew will never get any sleep.![]()

WARBLE VS DICTION, COMING SOON!!
BWhahahahahahahah !!!
I hope he does. Range be dammed. My fav Perry vocal might be Captured by the moment. He sings a lot of that song in some of the lowest notes I have ever heard from him and it doesnt matter. He is a very intelligent singer and I am sure he can weave magic with whatever he has left in the tank. The songs have to be good. I really hope that Dave Grohl has something to do with the writing, production and recording because that man imho is just brilliant. He could give the music the modern touch it needs to chart in todays market. The thought of him and Perry working together is exciting. No one has said he is working with Dave but just using his studio. Knowing Dave's respect for other musicians I cant imagine him not being involved in some way if Steve is in his studio.
