By the way, yes America has fucked up the world in the last 7 years. It all started in November 2000. Thanks Florida, thanks a lot. You stupid Floridians fucked up not only America, but the entire world.

I don't have a problem with you Deano, and I apologize for calling you a "Drama Queen". But everytime I got on here, for the last week you were here, I read "Sunday's my last day" "after Sunday, I'm through with this board and this band". We're all entitled to our own opinions (and they going to vary widely). Just don't come making false accusations, and putting words in my mouth.

For the record, I hope you are back! I've missed some of the funny shit you come up with! And like you...I would like to personally like to thank Florida!

No.

SocraticReardonVandelay lets the bridges he burns light his way.

He has successfully smoked Deano out of the swinging doors of the saloon and now 'Drew's wondering if he has enough insurance.

If you actually could read, boggs, you'd know that *I* did not pull RD out of retirement. G.I. Jim did.

I'm not Reardon, or Joe. You must have some sort of sexual fetish fantasy with these two individuals, cause you keep thinking about them.

Well, now that RDs back....you can turn in your Sheriff Badge, and pin on that plastic, dime store deputy one you are so fond of wearing.

1) Can you fix the distortion of that pic in your sig? So tantalizing...

2) die already.

Only a mindless myrmadon of a conservative would admit to that, similar to those on the left that blindly follow politicians like Al Gore.

Bah.

I'm with NealIsGod on this issue.

Everybody (including NealIsGod) is JR until proven otherwise (except the wombat).

And even if not? We all have that inner JR anyway. Some tame it, some let it breathe so what's the damn difference?

And I don't know where you're getting your intel from. THe VAST majority of scientists out there DO believe global warming is and HAS occured. What they disagree on is the effect it will ultimately have, and WHEN that effect will start taking place.
This isn't a Republican or Democrat issue. It's a SURVIVAL issue. Perhaps we should all start to show a little concern for the world we're leaving behind for our grandchildren.

I agree. I don't know if Gore is the best ambassador for the job, but work need to start on global warming yesterday. Like you said, we've got millions of cars burning fossil fuel daily. We've got 100's of millions of air conditioning units belching out heat constantly. It has to have an effect. The effect is obvious. I went skiing in the southern Rocky mountains in February and skied on nothing but man made snow. The mountains were almost completely bare of snow. 20 years ago I was at the exact same ski resort during the same 3rd week of February and it was a winter wonderland. The kid at the ski rental shop said that this year was the best year for snow that they've had in 10 years, and the mountains were nearly bare. That freaked me the fuck out. It was 106° in Boise Idaho the other day. It was 116° in Las Vegas. The whole western part of the country is like an oven, and there are fires everywhere. People better wake up, or there's not going to be anything to wake up to.

Dude, people's contribution to CO2 in the atmosphere is 14 parts per million!!!!! that's 14 of 1,000,000

I figured this is a good thread for this::

NEWS FLASH!

After numerous rounds of "We don't even know if Osama is still live," Osama himself decided to send George Bush a letter in his own handwriting to let him know he was still in the game. Bush opened the letter and it contained a single line of Coded message:

370H-SSV-0773H

Bush was baffled, so he e-mailed it to Condoleezza Rice. Condi and her aides had not a clue either, so they sent it to the FBI.

No one could solve it at the FBI so it went to the CIA, then to MI6 and Mossad. Eventually they asked Australian Intelligence (ASIO) for help.

Within a minute ASIO emailed the White House with this reply: "Tell the President he's holding the message upside down."

Live Earth was pretty danged dull-
Bon Jovi was surprisingly good, though that high note on Livin on a Prayer is NEVER sung by Jon anymore. Lame.
Kelly Clarkson was good except for where she waited too late and her backup singers came in at the right spots in the second verse. That chick can sing. I'd rather hear her than friggin Beyonce any day of the week.
Police... ehhh. Okay, I guess. Sting's not hitting those high notes anymore either.
Roger Waters was pretty good.
Madonna, I'm sorry but Madonna looks stupid with a guitar in her hands.
I didn't get to see all the performances, but I saw a good amount.
Kanye West... I don't get it. Never will.

Live Aid and Live 8 both left this in the dust. Better people should've played this show. No Green Day. No U2. No Journey... oh wait, there IS no Journey, sorry, forgot for a sec. No McCartney, etc.

I thought it was a pretty non-great grouping of bands.

What the deal is with Smashing Pumpkins. I don't get them either. Looked like Beetlejuice. Yuck.

Oh crap, I was just commenting on the concert... didn't have time to read the entire set of posts. SORRY!
I LIKE Gore. I don't think he would've made a good prez and his actions after his defeat pretty much confirmed that. However, I voted for him over the monkey we have in office now and still would on any day of the week.
Maybe these were all the artists that Tipper didn't label, huh?

Well first of all don't drop one of those "green" light bulbs or you'll have to shell out a grand or 2 to have HazMat clean up the mercury off of your floor!
As for Al Gore check out this little snippent of his brilliant  op-ed in Sundays NYTimes.

"Consider this tale of two planets. Earth and Venus are almost exactly the same size, and have almost exactly the same amount of carbon. The difference is that most of the carbon on Earth is in the ground--having been deposited there by various forms of life over the last 600 million years--and most of the carbon on Venus is in the atmosphere.

As a result, while the average temperature on Earth is a pleasant 59 degrees, the average temperature on Venus is 867 degrees. True, Venus is closer to the Sun than we are, but the fault is not in our star; Venus is three times hotter on average than Mercury, which is right next to the Sun. It's the carbon dioxide."

Brilliant, huh Deano!!!!! Well unless you do a little more research and find that the atmosphere on Mars is 95% carbon dioxide, just shy of Venus's 96%. (The Earth's atmosphere, by contrast, is less than 0.04% CO2.) Average temperature on Mars? Eighty-one below zero. Oh yeah and remember Deano when he shouted at Bush during the debate, "Do you support quotas? Do you support quotas?" That's your boy

Deano,
I am... I will always be a W supporter... because when the iraqi situation with the troop surge working and the momentuem goes our way....all the Bush haters will hate it worse.and who loses... those guys and the dems big time.. and that will be great to see.

BTW, I know nothing, just reading between the lines here... but if the dems want us now--- I think they are affraid of the USA actually winning this thing, the faster we pull out the more chance they (dems) have of winning in 2008... HOWEVER, when the momentum switches and less and less severe violence happens, people feel more secure, etc...could be by the end of this year... it will be amazing what will happen... The biggest thing I think now is that Turkey has decided finally to secure their border with their own troops of at least 100,000. Too bad there four years to late, but could be just in time.

Gore's not even running, though on the Earth coverage, the gal was sure trying to get him to throw his hat in.
I think 28% of the country are in favor of this trumped up war. At what point do we go "ENOUGH!" and get the hell out? This war has done more to hurt our country than 9-11. The morale of our country is in the toilet, every other country in the world hates us way more than they ever did....
How can ANYONE be in favor of this idiot we have in the White House and how can ANYONE be in favor of this war?

Tell me Rick (or anyone) what we're getting out of this except for crap morale and body bags?? Time to pull the flag off of our eyes and look at what's really going on. Our president has used 911 as an excuse to totally screw with our civil rights and rights to privacy (hi George! I'm sure you're reading...) among other things and we're NO safer than we were as a result of Iraq. We're safer HERE but not from anything happening there.

I Support Our Troops- I Say WE BRING THEM THE HELL HOME.
