You mean spin like when you said Jeff was better than Perry during some east coast show? That's not biased spin?

Show me that quote you fuckin cocksucker. NEVER said that. I did say, that the Mansfield show Jeff was about as good as perry, from everything to the high notes he hit to the enthusiasm of the crowd...it was quite equal.

You mean you like Arnel's YouTube videos better than you like mine, right? Last time I checked no one's heard Arnel sing these songs live yet, and I don't think you've been to a Frontiers show either. So your opinion of his videos over mine is not that his are better, but that they're MUCH better. Cool, whatever...

Just leave me out of the whole mess, please. Maybe if I post 150 videos of me singing songs other than Journey I'll get more respect around here. Oh wait - I did that and was labeled a bar band singer....

Dude you said something like "and on this night he was" (better than Perry) I remember pulling up the old quote after you denied it a long time ago. And you made some kind of lame excuse. I wouldn't lie about you.

Dude, a couple things.

1) I said I liked your singing.

2) You yourself interjected yourself into many of these type of threads, and even staryed a blog about your experience with Journey, so that puts you directly into the argument.

I have the right, to say on record, his youtubes and your youtubes have me thinking the way I do. I am not going to lay down and say I prefer you over him because that's not how I feel. There is no animosity here, unless you harbor it; I personally think he has a better voice, that's all.

I don't need to go to a Frontiers show to know how I feel. Many here have never seen Steve Perry, and think Steve Augeri is better

Here's my thoughts - I tried to keep a low profile about the ENTIRE Journey thing, even while it was falling apart around me. Most everything I publically said or did surrounding Journey was in response to people's uninformed opinions or outright misinformation about myself and the band - Positive or negative. I posted only enough information to set the record straight, and then tried to keep my head down....Then people like the ass that posted above this post started some kind of crusade about me and continued to beat the so called dead horse until I just about called it quits on this board. I don't interject myself into these threads - I'm used as a divisive tool between those who don't care for Journey any more and those who do....Just like this thread - If someone came out and said they didn't care who Journey was touring with, it was inevitable that sooner or later, someone was going to post "Oh, but Jeremey would have been great right?" That's where 95% of this nonsense comes from. People using me as a tool to beat up one contingent of people against another. That's why I'm just asking to be kept out of it completely. The only reason I posted here is out of getting fed up reading about how Pineda is a better singer than I am, with no proof except a bunch of homemade videos. Just keep me out of it, is all I'm asking. Both those of you FOR Journey AND those of you against.

Listen dude,
You keep coming here to promote your band and your talent,,,,, which is fine, cause Andrew sets the rules, but you can not expect EVERYONE to like you,,,,
Why do you need the feel to promote yourself so much and try to prove that youre so much better than Arnel or anyone else for that matter. Why do you have to keep up such battle to prove yourself and show that you can sing..... If you are that confident about yourself, why the need to reassure yourself?
You are so self centered and you think that ALL of us should worship you. Well I got some news for you,,, you're a never was , not even a has been... so just suck it up and move on..

Hot humid, and 19,900 people strong was the setting at Mansfield, Massachussetts on Saturday night. Meet and greets, hellos and see you later's were all wrapped up, at 745P, Neal Schon walked out to The Who's "We Won't Get Fooled Again." Self Indulgent to be sure, and rightfully earned I might add, that dude belted out America's song, and it was take off time from there.....

Cain, Deen, Ross and Soto appear and it was on. Soto busted out a Boston welcome and Stone in Love was started. The energy level was that of a Super Bowl, or Stanley Cup playoff game; infectious. Jeff literally took the band up with him. I have never seen Ross Valory so alive in my life. Same with Jonathan Cain. Deeno was sky high as always and Neal was ear to ear grins. Song after song, just right after one another, solid thumping, no notes missed, perfect vocals and I mean perfect as in Steve Perry perfect. In fact, Soto was better this night. Yes, he hit notes as high as perry has, and people in the crowd looked at each other with mouths agape. I didn't clap once this night. I was standing in astonishment. I was mesmerized at what I was seeing. Jeff asked the full house crowd to pull out their cell phones and wave em in the air, as Lights was started. Looking back and up at the audience, I couldn't tell if it was 1983 or 2006. The crowd was amazing, and I know more than a few Def Lippard fans were blown away. This was the best Journey concert I have ever witnessed. I have seen them over 20 times with Perry and 20 times with Augeri, and none of those were this good. I am not the only one who mentioned this either. People close to the band said the exact same thing. The band knew they gave an A+ performance too. Those guys played their collective asses off. There is NO question jeff has resurrected them and is taking them to a new level.

Journey are poised to make music's greatest comebacks. If you choose not to believe me, fine, but don't say I didn't tell you so. Those are my words but those exact words were echoed by a certain band member. The momentum they have now is phenominal, and they plan on riding it to new heights.

The best thing to happen to Journey happened this year, and I for one could not be more jacked up. This is the best lineup ever for Journey, and those with open minds who will give them a chance and see them will see what I am saying.

The only problem I have with Jeff is him wearing basketball jerseys during encores. I need to get that guy some hockey jerseys instead!.

Then this.

Dude I saw them earlier in this tour, and this comment is the most rediculous comment I have ever read on this forum. I suppose he hit THE NOTE Perry used to hit during "Wheel in the Sky" during Schon's solo, you know the "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh" that lasts about 12 seconds and no one has been able to hit flawlessly since Perry about 25 years ago. I'm sure Jeff himself when reading this thinks you're a whackjob for writing it. I'm going to see them again in Grand Rapids on Oct. 24th thankfully Jeff has stepped in and allowed Journey to continue. But that was a stupid, blind, or deaf comment Deano!

Fair enough.

However, people are entitled to their personal opinions Jeremey. If someone says Pineda is a better singer than you, is that wrong? What if someone said, like that retard 13, that SA is better than SP? Or maybe stevew saying you are as good as SP, would you still want out of this argument?

Also, with regard to you saying you only interjected yourself into threads about what happened to Journey for the casual reader to decipher, I don't see it. You started a blog, a public blog which spoke to every twist and turn about your experience with Journey. All I am saying is if you want out of this topic, fine, I will do my part, but it seems to me you want it on your terms. You can't have your cake(the blog) and eat it too(public postings). I agree with Eric.

There was a clip of Arnel with a TV reporter where he sang a piece of Open Arms acapella, she sang along with him and then she put her hand over her heart--completely unrehearsed. That's pretty much the way I and probably a lot of others feel about his singing...

I've seen Heart 3 times in the last two years, and they are in very fine form, but the crowds were just not as large.

The average fan hasn't a clue who is singing for Journey; headline status will be purely a business decision.

Linda
Journey hasnt filled a 20,000 seat venue {by themselves} since the ROR tour. I dont know were you were,I went to 5 concerts on the Generations tour and they werent packin em in, The one I went to in State College Pa ,they only sold 1800 tickets.Heart will bail there asses out.

I just love it when people tell me I didn't experience my own reality.

Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion, Houston, November 2005, sold out, capacity 16,550

DTE Energy Music Theater, Detroit, July 2005, sold out, capacity 15,274

Okay, so not quite 20,000, but large, sold out amphitheaters just the same.

I haven't posted to that blog in months. It only had one purpose - To set the record straight among those here who wanted to beat me up about shit they had no idea about. I don't care if people think I'm a better singer than Pineda - They may be right! You have a way of putting things, Dean, that sound more like stated fact than opinion, though, and a lot of people take what you say that way. All I did was ask to be kept out. Nothing in this thread had anything to do with me except using me in a negative context against people who don't want to see the current Journey. NIG had NEVER made racist comments about Pineda or ever even stepped over the line in his apathy for this incarnation, yet I'm the blunt edged tool in the box that comes out to beat him over the head with.

Alright....I'm done....Sorry to come back in here and rile things up.

Im a dick, ok,,,,Keep it up ... We KNOW you based on your actions here,,, We know you based on your whining anytime anyone brings up the fact that Arnel might be better than you. You whine anytime someone brings up an interview with Journey and you mock them cause you think that they shouldve gone with you.
On one side you try so hard to prove yourself,,,, then you say you wanna be left out,,,,,, if you wanna be left out, then shut the fuck up and move on,,,,, people dont bring up stuff about Jeff anymore,,,, do they? no, cause he isnt whining,,,, you still are!!! you feel the need to prove yourself to all of us,,,

Maybe if I post 150 videos of me singing songs other than Journey I'll get more respect around here

we get it,, Journey blew it,,,,, besides, they had no choice, as they wanted you , but you turned down the job, cause you would rather take care of your family, your holiness.

Also,, if Im ever in a burning truck, I rather die than have you saving me,, so I guess no problem there,,,,, But If I ever saw you in a burning truck, I'd save your ass,, cause you may be a prick, but you are a human being, no matter what.

I guess thats what seperates us,,, you never get it,, I dont hate you,,, I just dont like you !

The difference is I have a reason to hate you. I don't know you & never met you before yet you chose to attack my character, my wife, my talent, and my person endlessly for months on end. Let's see someone do that to any member of this board & find out how long it takes to wear them down....You've won the jackpot, bro! I'm done here forever! I use to enjoy being a contributing member here and made a lot of friends over the years. Why would I want to post here any more or even look here seeing my name brought up in negative ways when I had nothing to do with me? And if you think JSS wouldn't come on and post some response to people that continued to bash him or his character over and over, then you're fooling yourself.

I wish I could leave with some good humor, but I have none left.

Holy shit. I thought fences were being mended and stuff like that. That would have been a lot nicer than this.

Joe Elliott said the Journey/Def Lep tour in 2006 was their second highest grossing tour EVER (of course inflation and ticket prices influence that). On the Generations tour, Journey was filling some 20,000+ seat venues alone on the bill (like Houston & Detroit).

I've seen Heart 3 times in the last two years, and they are in very fine form, but the crowds were just not as large.

The average fan hasn't a clue who is singing for Journey; headline status will be purely a business decision.

Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion, Houston, November 2005, sold out, capacity 16,550

http://pavilion.woodlandscenter.org/history.htm

DTE Energy Music Theater, Detroit, July 2005, sold out, capacity 15,274

http://www.eventticketscenter.com/Event ... entID=1946

Okay, so not quite 20,000, but large, sold out amphitheaters just the same.

The Generations tour and the Def Leppard tour featured some pretty good crowds....

I'd love to see Heart but only Heart. I won't pay to see faux journey.

Oh ok Sherrie. What a stupid fucking comment. Faux Journey? So you really do think Frontiers is the Real Journey huh?

I got news for you Sherrie and all your buddies. You can be pissed and still be pissed, but you all look like fucking idiots who call Journey Faux Journey. I can pretty much guarantee you Journey, err, Faux Journey or Exotic Journey can basically roll Frontiers into a ball of shit and spit em out.

Let me guess, if Jeremey were fronting Journey the only difference would be you would be backing them.

Complete foolery.

Good God Dean. Why the meltdown? Why do you care if I like or don't like Jeremey or Arnel? I have as much right to my choices as you have to yours and as much right to speak my opinion.

Journey is no more Journey to me now than they were with Augeri. Augeri was a good enough singer, he just didn't do it as a Journey frontman for me and it wasn't Journey to me with him in it. Same thing with Arnel.

I originally coined the name UnJourney during Augeri's time but stopped using it as a favor to Dave28. I actually think the term Faux Journey was coined back then too, but now it's also being used for the current lineup. My using it has nothing to do with what anybody else is saying. It's just hard for me to call them Journey, but if you find it so offensive I just won't refer to that lineup as anything Journey related.

So now, those of us who are only fans of the the classic lineups should no longer post here? Actually I did stop for a while because I didn't want people trying to force me to like something that I don't, but then I thought, fuck that, I'm going to post here if I want to unless Andrew says different.

I never said people shouldnt defend themselves when theyre "ATTACKED",,,,,
But the problem here is not just ME and my endless attacks ....
Before I posted here in this thread, JRM chose to start blasting, just cause Dean had a different opinion. How do you justify that!?
