Brakes, tires....you generally don't need to worry about if you lease or trade it in after 2-3 years and I tried driving used and indeed did spend in that range. Yeah, I had an intake gasket, head gasket...those kind of things over the years so maybe I'm unlucky. But even in my last car I needed a wiper motor, water pump and CD player (Honda CRV) once the warranty kicked...and at that point I decided to stop driving cars after 2-3 years. Also, its easy to knock off up to 40% off sticker if you're willing to aggressively haggle, which I actually love to do.

Well like I said to each their own, and yeah maybe there's a luck thing there, sorry, lol. I have 2 Toyotas that haven't had one of the problems you listed aside from brakes and tires on one, and those aren't problems, that's normal wear and tear on any car. I've been driving that used one for 8 years and have spent less than $1k on those tires and brakes. So no, not all used cars cost $2-$3K a year in maintenance or repairs, no way, lol. Oh I had bad luck with one once, a Dodge, and it was just a gigantic piece of garbage on wheels. But then had another Chrysler product, a Cherokee, that I drove for over 10 years with not ONE major problem at all until that 10 year mark. So just depends I guess. We are raising two kids, we can't just buy a new car every 2-3 years, and I don't think there's a financial advisor on the planet that would say "Oh yeah, that's a great idea!", lol. I've lived most of my adult life without car payments than with, and it's quite nice. I've also never heard of anyone getting 40% off sticker price... does this "aggressive haggle" involve a firearm?

Yes Travis! Melissa and I will be flying up for that show. We opted for seats, but towards the back, so we can visit you on the lawn maybe!

Woohoo! Now we have to have a tailgate before the show!

We have to do something... I noticed there isn't much around that venue! Even hotels are far away. I'm guessing it's kind of like the venue in Cleveland?

I just got back to my hotel. I plowed through 20 wings ... 10 Buckeye Barbecue, 10 Supercharged and five 22 oz Coors Lights. I was rooting for Butler against Pitt ... and that wasn't a really good idea. :x Lucky I got out of there in one piece.

you are lucky you survived! I went on all you can eat wing night once, just to get to try the different kinds. I don't think I could handle those supercharged ones! And I only had 2 22oz Coors light. 5 and I'd probably pass out.

That's the Big LEast for ya. Great in the regular season, folding like a cheap suit in the tourney. Pitt, WVa., Louisville, Georgetown, St. Johns, Villanova...SEE ya later! 6 out of 11 teams ousted in the first THREE days....so much for the supposedly best conference.

Maybe? Uh, maybe? If you don't find me, I find you. It looks like we got a great group going to this one. We got around 9 or so people in my party alone so it's going to be rockin'. Stu mentioned something about tailgating before-hand but I'm already 3 steps ahead! We plan on getting there early and tailgating ALL DAY LONG so by the time I see you guys, I'll be R-I-P-P-E-D! Glad S2M's making the trip! I'll have his own Terrible Towel for him ready to go.

Where's that cocksmack Matt? Is he going? Would love rock out.

I remember the hype of Revelation and while the CD was not bad, I have to admit, it was forgettable. I may have not given it enough listens, but had little desire. Hate to say it, but the ballads were the best part of the CD.

Andrew made some bold statements about Eclipse and if he were wrong they could effect his reputation as a connoisseur of fine rock and roll.
